Excellent location and friendly staff. Very happy with my stay. Perfect if you´re looking for a combination of dining out, city walks, comfort and a bit of seaside. Promenade des Anglais only 5 minutes walk away and the place itself is in the middle of the famous shopping and restaurant district. Tram stop just around the corner and really easy to get to the main train station if you´re prepared to walk for 15 minutes.
all reviews » We stayed in Siam room - real Thailand in the heart of beautiful Nice. Everything was charming. Owner and staff are very nice. The room is really small but the space is perfectly organized, equiped and designed with a lot of taste. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen has everything you may need. Wifi is fine. Location is perfect. I wish every place I will stay in the future will have such a level of comfort!. Small but cozy apartments, are very beautifully decorated. Large and comfortable double bed, (good for 2 parents and child) . Good lacation: nearby supermarket. nearby restaurants and cafe, to the embankment and the old city - no more than 10 minutes on foot. it was a little noisy as windows left in a yard - the restaurant there is located. The location was right in the heart of the city, 5 minutes max to the beach and into the old town where there are pubs and bars. Decent size, with a small bench kitchen, which included a washer/dryer for clothes. Windows opened up to a courtyard with a restaurant below. Joel was an excellent host. The location is absolutely perfect: in the middle of all the action and very quiet. We stayed in Kenya room for 9 days. Not a single problem. The room was clean safe and secure. We had the best vacation of our lives here. We like everything about it, the location is excellent, staff fantastic and the apartements very quiet, well equiped, funky and comfortable.. we have stayed twice now and will most definately return.. Highly recommend!!. layout of accommodation was very good, Well situated for short weekend break with all amenities close by and easy access to transport about town and airport. Great location, easy to find from station and in the main shopping strip...close to beach.. Quirky style, each apartment was individually designed, good facilities, very central. There was a smell in the bathroom but it wasn't too bad and was confined to the bathroom. A minor issue in an otherwise great place to stay in Nice. Smoked glass doors were not ideal. Some kitchen requires updating particularly crockery most of which was chipped, no bread knife, salt and pepper etc Plants on terrace needed attention ie they were mostly dead. Had to walk through a restaurant to reach hotel. No staff available most of the time for small queries like extra pillows. (Although when there, staff were v friendly and helpful). The bed for the third person is too small for an adult and dirty. 3rd floor without elevator, could be an issue if you have heavy luggage. limited hot water for shower. it was a bit of a surprise to find that we had a loft bed only reached by a pull-down ladder (Zebra) definitely only for nimble people. good airconditioning (except for the loft bed as hot air had nowhere to go). Design Location. A little anxious regarding ease of access from street. Would have been nice to have a proper entrance door. Mainly at night the resturant below was noisy. no lift...no curtain in the bedroom, so we have to take shower with the light off...but i think it's easy to get it fixed. Although I would stay here again the rooms above the restaurant can be noisy so would choose one at the back ,but that's the only fault it has. noisy restaurant in courtyard below when you opened the window - not the noise of the customers but the noise when the staff set up and cleared away the tables and chairs. Reception nobody standby. Although its a bit wierd you have to go through a restaraunt to get to the apartments. We had a evening flight and found on arrival the landlord did a mix-up with the apartment keys and when I phoned the contact number it went to voicemail-very annoying at 11pm - it was 1.am before we got sorted.Very poorly handled. The apartment is down a laneway and the corridor of apartment can be accessed by the public-would not recommend to young girls travelling. Also, we were concerned about fire safety, the ceiling in the corridor was mainly canvas material. Spiral staircase and low upstairs ceiling. rooms are pretty small. Staff only onsite 2 hours per day Couldn't get internet to work. All the stairs. It was little difficult to find. Everything else. WiFi and the tv didn't work even with the help of staff and other tenants. Stairs for the upper room are very narrow and dangerous. Ceiling is low and we both banged our head. I would never recommend this place. Our room was located on the 3rd floor and difficult with lugages. If you are over 40 and over 1.75m(5"8'). Forget about it. From 1 to 10' not more than 2. Sorry. Floor was very sticky, needed to be rinsed. Not a good value for the price.
