We loved this hotel. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood, and the Orangerie Park next door was a delight. The breakfast was extensive and included hot eggs and sausages. Our room was large, as was our balcony. Street parking was easy and close. The bar area in the lobby provided free wi-fi. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and it was close to some of the more beautiful parts of Lyon...overall a nice experience.all reviews »
Having a little kitchenette was very useful. Staff were lovely and helpful. The location was perfect. This hotel is a perfect starting point for an hour walk along all of these (just the walking time that is). The room we stayed is had a small kitchen (not that we used it). Also: the garage was very convenient.Great location close to Bellacour, great value for money. There was not AC in the rooms, but this was easily mitigated by opening the windows.Nothing to complain about.. we will be back on our next visit to Lyon. No A/C in our room, but supplied electric fan was OK.The hotel is in a bit of a back street (but it didn't feel unsafe). The room we stayed in was a bit tight with a long corridor (inefficient). You can't park your car in the same building if it's bigger than a compact (won't fit in the elevator), but the hotel directs you to an alternative garage around the corner about 200 m away, lets you park overnight at a hotel-discounted rate of 12 Euros. Room interior finishings were a little worn from use.The very late check-in time was unfortunate. Access on arrival out of the hours of staff attendance was difficult - we arrived early afternoon.Reception closed between 12h and 15h as well as after 21h. As an English person, a kettle would have been appreciated. They charge 1 Euro per piece for storing the luggage after check-out. Never heard anything like that so far. Tho booking.com's site said check-in was available at 3pm, it was infact not available until 4pm. Door is locked and there is no one atreception until then.lack of air-conditioning on hot days. No air conditioning which is easily solved by opening the window, however then quite noisy. Staff chased us to check out promptly by 12.About 10 minutes to find someone of the staff, at 8:00 am, to check me out.
