My wife & I were pleasantly surprised at this small boutique hotel. It is located right in the middle of Prague's Old Town and close to Charles Bridge. All major attractions are within an easy walk (even for a pair of middle aged people). There are great restaurants right on the doorstep or again an easy walk to the square. Shopping is great! The room was spacious and as we were meeting our daughter in Prague - it provided privacy in a Family Suite. We would highly recommend the Aurus Hotel.
all reviews » The staff made Aurus. The girl on reception while we were there (Marina I think, 10th to 12th May) was absolutely brilliant. She was so helpful and seemed happy to help. It was a pleasure to deal with her. She deserves a big bonus as we'd recommend Aurus based on her welcoming and helpful nature! :) There was a little cleaning lady also who seemed very happy and nice. Amazing hotel in the best location in the middle of the main city attractions. Very lovely staff. Special beautiful design. Big and clean room. Good breakfast, because I did check out so early before the breakfast time, they arranged take out one for me. I highly recommend this hotel and for sure if I visit prague again I would stay in this hotel. Friendly family atmosphere since it is a family owned hotel. The people are very friendly and there is a very homey feel to the hotel. Location is just superb. Just a 5 mins walk to Charlesbridge or Old Town Square. Hotel staff are very very nice. The reception girl Lucie is exceptional helpful and kind. The hotel is nicely located at the centre of the old town and it is very convenient to walk to most of the attractions. Hotel location is excellent. Stuff is friendly . Family room was big , comfortable , we felt ourselves as in home and same time design was as we stay in excellent home from XVIII . Warm receptionists, tasty breakfast, the hotel is beautiful and the room is very large and nicely decorated. The location is perfect - right in the middle of the old town. I didn't like that shower since it was not a standing shower. It was a tub and I found it hard to shower in it. None. The bed is a bit small and not a double bed - rather two single bed connected to each other. The location can be a bit noisy at night. Nothing. Night time noise but this wasn't a real problem. In room C you have to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom, seperate bathroom would be nice. Noisy from streets outside. changeable noise levels - for many hours into the night. Nothing. Noise from the street at night.
