The hotel is right in the center of Karlovy Vary which makes it less than 2 minutes walk from the central Spa area, the restaurants and the main shopping areas. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated "old-fashionly". The staff was most kind and helpful, and even gave each of us a present when we departed. I was on a business trip and enjoyed my stay a lot, and im sure the place would also be perfect for couples and families who would like a relaxing vacation.

The Heluan is a beautiful, small (~14 rooms) hotel right in the middle of old Karlovy Vary. It's on a quiet street, and I was pleased to be on the top floor, which meant the ceiling was high & sloped. The room was warm when I arrived, and the woman at reception was incredibly friendly. I was able to store my luggage there for a few hours after I checked out. I came back super late Friday night, and the all-night staff was there to let me in. I travelled with my friend stayed on the 4th floor with this spacious room and lovely decorations inside. The hotel located just next to the The Market Colonnade and The Hot Spring Colonnade is not far away at all. We had lovely few minutes walk and we could have lots of spring water to taste nearby. Stuff was very helpful, breakfasts were gorgeous too. Would love to return!. The lady at the reception was excellent, tho her English is not good, but you can see she tries her best to help you. Some rooms are really spacious, with huge ceiling and balcony, overlooking a very beautiful center of Karlovy Vary. The breakfast is presented very well. Really surprising selection of tea. No easy access to plugs for charging computer & phone. There was only one plug available, after moving the dresser away from the wall. If you take taxi to the hotel from kv trian station, it's pretty expensive as it's a bit far away from the station, compare to other hotels in town. the room is really big, but only 1 heater in the room, cold in winter. light in the washroom is too dim. Nothing. Practically no. A bit far from the bus terminal, but still a reasonable distance. It took me a while to walk to the hotel. more furniture in the room would be great. Parking is not simple. A bit cold in the room. The welcome is horrible, right at the beginning you have to answer a lot of annoying bureaucracy questions. Makes you feel like you are in a criminal and not in vacation. We were six people and we had to spend more than half an hour in the reception answering question, before getting our keys. Interior is not well maintained. This is not a 4star hotel. Its a 2+ or 3- Old bathroom, scary lift, strange receptionist (owner ?) I do not recommend this hotel.

Arrival by car: As a guest of the hotel you need not respect the No Entry sign at the beginning of the spa zone. Arrival by bus: - Get off at the bus stop Tržnice. It is the central bus station for all local buses. - Then take bus 2 (direction: Divadelní náměstí) until the end of the line. - Cross the river and you are in Tržiště street. The hotel is in the middle of this street (walk uphill). or - If you arrive at the final bus stop Dolní nádraží or Terminál, you can walk to the bus station Tržnice (Use the underpass at the traffic lights - about 100 metres from your final bus stop) and go straight. - After a 4-minute walk you will reach the central bus station Tržnice. - Proceed as indicated above. Arrival by train: If you arrive at the train station Karlovy Vary - Horní nádraží it is recommended to take a taxi. However, if you prefer to take a bus, - leave the train station and and cross the road to reach the bus stop. - Each bus can take you to the central bus station Tržnice. - Proceed as mentioned above. If you arrive at the Karlovy Vary - Terminál or Karlovy Vary - Dolní nádraží train station, see above.
