The stuff were really helpful and friendly. They prepared an extra bed and crib with bedding for us before we arrived. The two-bedroom suite is large enough for small kids to run around and it has very nice views. Although the furnishing is dated, the suite is very clean and comfortable. The construction work was better than expected, not much around the building and not very noisy. Overall, my family enjoyed the stay!.
all reviews » The suite was very clean, kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The bed was very comfortable. Glad we paid a little extra and got the suite with the balconies and fireplace. Location was easy access to water taxi, or a good walk over the bridge to get to Granville .Island. Granville Street was very close too, we walked it every night. It had many pubs and stores. Police were present, we always felt safe. We were upgraded to a two bed/two bath unit. The unit was huge! It had floor to ceiling windows all around for a wonderful view. There was lots of traffic around but it was quiet in the apartment. Overall, a fantastic experience. We highly recommend Viva Suites. The suite was well appointed and the location was convenient although the neighborhood was a little seedy. On the whole the staff was helpful. The suite was spacious, the work desk with wifi connectivity was useful, and the bed was very comfortable. Very Clean, Wonderful Staff, Nice, secure, Free Parking -- Hotel was great with windows all around and 2 patios --- wonderful lights of the city --- plenty of eating places within walking distance. --. We enjoyed the floor to ceiling windows, views, the extra space the suite provided, and the fireplace. well organized / good facility / good communication with owner. 1)The room was comfortable and the full kitchen was really well equipped. 2)Very spacious rooms 3)Free parking and high speed steady WIFI 4)Very pleasant receptionist -SU. Excellent service. The garage door (when you go out, you need to hit a rope on the floor) was not sensitive and we had to drive over the rope more than 5 times to open the door. That's a bit annoying. The dishwasher didn't clean the dishes, so we washed them by hand. Supplied laundry detergent would have been nice to have to wash a load. We were given a small bag of coffee for our 3 night stay, daily supply would have been nice. Water pressure in the bathroom sink was not very good. Other than these minor things, the suite was great and we would definately stay again!. The heater was a little noisy so we turned off the heat for the time we were there. Even with the heat off, it was 71 degrees, and the floors were heated as well. After checking out we were charged for a broken coffee carafe which was not broken when we left, with no explanation and no attempt to settle the matter even after I explained we had left the carafe in good order. The amount is not significant but the episode left a bad aftertaste. We didn't have any heat in the bedroom. The bathroom bathtub ceiling area is falling apart. a lot of (noisy) construction in the vacinity of the rented apartment. 1) the noise from construction that was going on right opposite the suites. Cannot open the verandah door. 2)the office is closed after office hours and weekends and we are referred to the guards and even a hotel nearby for enqueries and case of emergency. Do not feel safe. Not suited for short term overseas guests like us who need more help and info to move around Vancouver.
