The staff were extremely friendly, answered any questions I had, and even provided an extension bar so I could plug my laptop close to the TV. The Club Executive suite was very spacious and comfortable. Found a great deal for this room and was definitely worth the money. I requested a ground-floor room so I didn't get the mountain view, but no doubt it would have been a great view. Friendly staff. Large suite with a kitchen and separate living room although we didn't use the kitchen. Very clean. Good location right on Robson street. We were on the main floor so we didn't have to climb stairs or take the elevator. This suite would be suitable for long term stays because it had a kitchen and dining room table.
all reviews » The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. He offered me a ground floor room because he could see I had a lot of luggage with me. The room was clean and felt reasonably spacious. Lovely big bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was fantastic - close to everything, especially Stanley Park, restaurants and easy trip to city center. Room I stayed in was quiet. They were prepared to change our booking even though it was non transferable!! I had made a mistake with the dates!. Location Kitchen Large rooms. The hotel has centralized heating, so it was hard to get truly comfortable in your room. The window panes allowed the cold air to come in, which added to the discomfort. When the heat was off, it would be a little TOO quiet so you'd hear the muffled conversations from guests next door, hear the thuds and bangs of dropped/moved objects, and you'd hear the squeak of the carpets. If you're a fidgety person like I am, you may find yourself feeling a bit self-conscious of all the "noise" you make. Very hot bedroom at night. When we opened the window we heard a lot of street noise so we had to close it. We were also afraid someone would break in although there were some bars on the window. Our suite was on the main floor near the front desk so we could also hear people coming and going. Living room windows at street level very close to Robson st. so whenever people walked by they could look in. There was no lift and therefore I would have struggled had I not been given a ground floor room. No elevator (inconvenient if you have luggage and are on the 3rd floor). No A/C. When I first read this, I didn't get it since it's Vancouver, but my bedroom was separate from the living area and had no windows. It was too stuffy to sleep in there with no A/C so I slept on the sofa bed in the front room with opened windows and that was fine. The stairs with the luggage but staff were very willing to help. It was a bit cold in the room, the internet was pretty slow, and the breakfast was quite deficient. No microwave in room, had to request cooking equipment, plates, cutlery etc to self cater, no air conditioning. The building has no elevator, the should aware people regarding that. Some things in the bathroom were not totally clean, like the bathtub. They did not vacuum the floor everyday. The pillows were very short, and they were all thick pillows, no thin pillows for people who use them. The breakfast was poor (only with bread and cakes), and the bread was never fresh. Bathroom bit tired, needs some work particularly bath tub,and the exhaust fun very noisy. As a suggestion a second switch to operate the light and the exhaust fun will be great. No extra blankets No tea bags in room. Extra charge for parking. The bed was too hard and the pillows were too flat. No lift/elevator. Old fashioned. room makeup not done until after 16:00. Front facing rooms on street noisy and no air conditioning. For a solo traveller having no elevator bit difficult, but staff helpful. Would be helpful if kitchenette came with basic kitchen tools, etc including a kettle. At times a little noisy. We were also given the room immediately opposite the reception desk which was a little weird as everyone knew your comings and goings. Room was also missing a number of amenities which made us wonder if it was actually their overflow room I.e not often used and/or used for a place for the staff to sleep if they have to do double shifts? When we had to go and ask for a bath plug and a hair dryer we were told these items keep getting stolen. Room temperature could not be controlled. It was too cold for me. And there was a really little stove... Wifi is terrible Very loud Hot in the room. room was not ready at the check in time. Street noise was very loud.
