The Chateau Laurier is a lovely clean hotel and very close to the Old City. The room was nice and roomy and the staff were excellent, polite and helpful. This hotel would be perfect for those traveling with children. We had a great stay!. We found the price to be a little steep considering there were other smaller hotels in the old city at a lower cost and perhaps more suited to our needs (less amenities). We had no use for a pool or sauna but no doubt these would be a plus to others.
