The hotel is in a perfect location, right in Old Montreal. There's easy access to dining options, shopping, and popular attractions. It's also less than 5 miles from the Olympic Park (Biodome, Botanical Gardens, Planetarium, Insectarium). Staff was extremely friendly and helpful with making dinner reservations and giving directions to locations throughout the city. Private parking service was fast and safe - we never waited more than 3 minutes for our car. The hotel was clean with large, modern.
all reviews » The friendliness of the staff - they were delightfully helpful. The location - steps away from everything I wanted to do and see. The comfort - best nights sleep in any hotel, ever. Comfortable beds and down pillows were heavenly. Breakfast - delicious and abundant Room size - comfortable and spacious for 4 people. Loved the location, right in the heart of Old Montreal. Very picturesque. Beautiful room, great complimentary breakfast. Pool and hot tub on site. Would definitely stay again Valet parking a bonus as space is so tight. All staff were polite and friendly. I won't even look for another hotel when next I visit Montreal. Pool was a little small. The view is lacking, of course but the location makes up for that. Nothing major. Front doors wouldn't open Saturday night and no one answered buzzer. We eventually pushed it open. toilet is right next to edge of the bathtub, sink area could be upgraded. You have to take youl luggage to the room ( no porters on 4* ? ) The bathroom need remodeling urgently!!! and more light. Seemed understaffed. Breakfast food could not keep up with demand. Only one person at front desk and answering phone. Breakfast is hectic, they run out of food and seating. Didn't have enough shampoo for 5 people, had to ask for it. Fan on heater in room was very noisy, but could be turned off. for the price i was expecting just a little more. but would stay again. Nothing!. The room needed refurbishment. The pictures on the website were of newly refurbished rooms the reality was different. Had an early morning check out and it took a long time for the car to be retrieved from garage as the only available staffer was not a valet and so not familiar or allowed to drive the car. Had to retrieve it myself and staffer took a long time to figure out how to open the garage door. He did the best he can, but the hotel should have a valet available. I always request a handicap accessible room. I have left leg and feet problems. Had rm 201 nice room but in no way handicap. Been handicap for 9 yrs. Hotel packed for weekend. Made it painful and uncomfortable for me to take shower. It was crazy. did not like the pot smoke smell that came through the vent in the bathroom on the saturday night. breakfast closing very prompt at 9.30 am too many guests expected earliest 10.00 am Pool too cold to use no showers in the pool area to use before using the jaccuizzi. Too expensive with ridiculous charges for phone calls and taxes. hard to find, not enough signage. We were three great grandmothers and had to struggle with our luggage while the desk clerk watched us. For a hotel that was full I found it awful that there was not a bellboy to help us. The carpets were filthy in the hallway, the room and the stairs. the loudest a/c I've ever heard....so annoying it will stop me from ever returning....that bad really...and they are all like that.
