Your hotel came highly recommended by a friend who was married there in sept of last year.We really enjoyed our stay and will for sure be back. The price of the room made it much easier for us to enjoy our weekend getaway and all the staff were so friendly. It is a beautiful hotel and we are considering having our wedding there when we set a date. Thank you. The inn had good sized rooms, clean and comfortable. A choice of three restaurants, with an indoor courtyard and a very interesting fireplace in the middle. We used the laundry facilities, but did not get around to the spa - there were no prices for the spa in the information in the room. Last day on checkout there were two Elk across the street!.
all reviews » I've stayed at the Saw ridge twice in the last 5 years and I will stay there again. Both times there was room service, amazing menu, awesome staff - friendly, intelligent, and eager to please. The rooms are clean, and comfy.Makes being away from home a pleasant experience. Great service, from the front desk to the housekeeper! Room was comfortable. Dinner at Walter's was great. Karaoke in the basement pub was fun. The laundry room was closed but housekeeping washed my jeans for no charge. The hot tub and pool were relaxing. High end accommodation, comfortable beds, great food and awesome service, especially Santa a server dorm South Africa. We travelled with our dog, there is a great grass bush area for him to do business.. We watched a herd of elk from our balcony!. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendly, courteous and knowlegeable staff. I loved the firepit outdoors - it allowed families with kids to roast marshmallows and just sit and chat casually with other guests. The atmosphere, decor and staff are wonderful. It's a little bit further out of town than most places, but still only a short work from the centre. Both bars in the hotel are very pleasant, although they shut at 10pm on Sun-Tues. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I liked the layout of the laundry service in the pool/spa area, which meant I could do the laundry whilst relaxing in the pool. The hotel was a reasonable walk into the town. the staff was extremely friendly, as i recall the front staff Richard was amazing, he spent time to tell me about the best attraction in the city... the room was very clean.. It was very quiet and serene. My room was very comfortable and overlooked the pool/inner courtyard. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Good position, good sized and well appointed rooms. It's not right in Jasper downtown (but just a short walk). The sauna was closed for repairs. The water was soft so difficult to wash off soap but I suppose that can't be helped. The only thing that let down this hotel was that the rooms facing the atrium (containing the pool) are far too hot to sleep in, with no option to open windows or reduce temperature of the central air. Try and get rooms with an external window. the room was very clean however, the bathroom needs some update.. also there was some construction at the registration office during the day...other than that I would recommend that hotel to people. The vending machine on my floor was out of almost all of the selections. Bit short on atmosphere and ambience. Felt like a conference centre, rarely saw other guests although could have been the time of year. Unfortunately the pool/hot tub/sauna were closed for maintenance and we were given passes to the aquatic centre but next time we book we will make sure the pool is open. the hotel is located at the very end of jasper, quite a long walk to main area (20min). but from the hotel to main area, there is a shuttlebus that runs every hour. hotel is bit expensive. Pool was closed whilst we were there for refurbishment, but we were warned in advance!. Room was old & tired Bathroom really needed updating Check-out staff not very accommodating: rented a movie and watched for 5 minutes; asked to have it reversed; clerk said, yes he would check into it. Still haven't heard a word about it. A bit more expensive than I had anticipated but not too bad. Nothing. Downstairs bar. Limited menu and poor atmosphere in bar. No indication of refurbishment going on when booking made. Room was not in booked location. Faulty plumbing in shower. Very noisy AC unit in room. Very slow service in restaurant. Will be nice if the price is lower, but you definitely get what you pay for. Some staff were very unfriendly and stuck-up. We were promised a room with pool-view but received a different one without notice. The hotel restaurant charged a service charge which was not mentioned in the menu. Overall, the place looked like a wannabe 4-star hotel with the comfort of a 2-3 star hotel. - Temperature controller inside the hotel room is loud and poorly controlled. The room is either very warm or very cold despite I continuously changed the setting. -had to pay an extra $20.00 for our 2 year old -the washer and dryer weren't operable. Nothing!. Noise level from the pool prevented me from eating at the hotel. I perfered to drive to a quiter vacility. Cost was not an issue. The pool didn't seem as clean as it should be. mosquitos!. Bathrooms were small. Overpriced, but it's a pricey place. Pool facilities closed not notified if this at time of booking. Outside of buildinv dated. Varity if food menu limited. noisy guests doors to stairs not very clearly labelled as such. i can't think of anything. They could serve a continental breakfast for free. far from town center. I was quoted $216 per night (2 adults,2 children) when I checked in It was 2 adults and 18 year old grandson and we were charged an additional $ 20 which is not right. Could do with a facelift!. Location (on the highway). discrepancy between advertised rates online and actually hotel expenses; unable to indicate 3 adults in a room when booking online; seemed front desk staff where making up excuses for charges - different from those of staff on another shift; noise of people in pool while trying to eat a nice dinner in the restaurant area - you need to address this issue if you want more people to eat in the dining area for dinner. Coffee in the room, parking is tight if you have a full size car or truck. Dry sauna... Why not steam. the extra surcharges. The stone side grill poor food very expensive. Dined there 2 years ago and it was great but not so good this round. Air conditioner turning off and on was a bit loud. Price. By far the most expensive hotel of our 2 week trip, but also by far the nicest!!.
