Check in and check out were both very quick, easy and pleasant experiences. The room we had was large, airy, extremely clean and comfortable. Lovely pool, albeit small and cool as well as hot tub, good after a days hiking. Delicious food in their restaurant at prices that were as competitive as you can find anywhere else in town. The rooms were extremely clean. This hotel is pet friendly, but does not relegate you to typical outdated/under-cleaned "pet friendly rooms". A small deposit, and you can stay in any room. We had a lovely suite with plenty of room for us and 2 dogs.
all reviews » Hotel is very clean and family oriented. Staff are professional and even were kind enough to hold our bags while we waited for our Via Rail train ride back home. We found a special price when staying for 3 nights or more (worth it). Location is same as the majority of the hotels in Jasper. Clean and welcoming. Calm. - Room was clean and well-appointed - Staff were excellent and accommodating - Perfect distance to walk to and from downtown for dinner. Loved the area and saw lots of animals, the hotel is at the far end of town so a little walk into shops and restaurants. Jessica Meier was excellent at the front desk. She provided good information relevant to the city and the whereabouts. The staff were friendly and the service in the Restaurant was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable. cleanliness friendly staff. power went down for 20 minutes. no panic staff provided glo sticks. all good. The off-season rates were affordable. Quiet location in Jasper townsite. Good pool and hot tub. Open friendly staff, The room was always clean, the food in the Dinning room was excellent. The hotel is a bit of a walk from town but that was no problem. We enjoyed it very much. Room was large with good mountain view. Staff at front desk very helpful and friendly. The hotel was quiet with mountain views and within walking distance of the town. A lovely pool on the ground floor. Most hotels in Jasper are old and rundown. This one was better than most. Though room service is advertised, and an in-room dining menu provided, you need to go to the on site restaurant to pick up your meal. This is inconvenient as no carts are provided, just trays you have to juggle back to your room. nothing negative to say. - Hotel could use a renovation to modernize its facilities. I have rated a fair for value for money as I think all most of the hotels in this area are a little over priced. It was hard to get the right room temperatures and the pool was quite cold. breakfast buffet a little pricey. full breakfast 14 ok but continental should not be 9 bucks for what you get. Restaurant for dinner was average. However, breakfast was good and you could order off the menu if you didn't want the full buffet. Breakfast at the restaurant was overpriced. Poor selection. Could not check in until 4pm. If u don't have a card it is a fair hike to restaurants and shops. Holiday price and regular price are unfair. Rooms are out dated and could use a refresh. Parking could be a problem. i wish they had some smoking rooms,and a microwave in the room,and put the fridge in a more noticable location,i had two rooms ,neither of new there was a fridge till the next day ,just before we were ready to leave. location slightly off center pool very small to swim. just to plunge. Breakfast was not included. Beds were hard!. How early the bar closed. Restaurant wasnt open all day. nothing. The workout area is too small. the bed is terribly uncomfortable. Beds weren't comfortable at all for this stay. Disappointing that the pool and hot tub were closed on Saturday. menu choices for the multi family and the cots need to be up be updated! They were really bad, lots of springs poking thru and saggy. beds were hard as a rock. Chekout 11AM but checkin 4PM Checout should be 12PM and checkin 2PM. Very old fashioned decor. Mattress very thin, which was not too much of a problem as we like hard beds and find the American / Canadian beds often very soft. Old but clean blankets with what looked like burn holes in a non smoking room! Shower over the tub. (I see in the photos, they appear to have rooms with separate showers. We should have requested!). Nothing really except the rooms especially the bathrooms need a major updating. Also not sure why when the hotels are not full they put people in a room right next to other people especially with small children. We were given card keys to our room and neither worked when we got up there. Back to reception!. The bed was very hard. The rooms are dated. There was a strong disinfectant smell in the room. A little aged - needs an upgrade or two. I called the maintenance twice. First, the toilet was not plushing. Second, bath tub was clogged. Maintenance guy should have maintained these before guests would come in. Comforters were not changed before we came in. I want to try other hotels in the area. no breakfast. Old establishment, needs to be upgraded specially the bathroom are. The place seems a little rundown. It is quite big and therefore impersonal. Beds are not confortable Old. value for money not good, but same could be said for all hotels in Jasper. Very much over-priced. Expected much more for the cost of the rooms. In a residential area within walking distance to town. Very much were tour buses drop off tourists for one night stopover.
