Rooms were very comfortable and well furnished. Food was excellant quality, staff helpful and friendly. The hotel as a whole was very clean and centrally located for the Menin gate, Grote Market and of course for visiting the many WW1 cemetaries. Ideal for a disabled traveller. Friendliness of staff. The location in Ieper made it so easy to get around the town centre and Menin Gate on foot during the day and especially the Last Post Ceremony each evening.

Drinks in the hotel bar are overpriced; we skipped breakfast because of the pricing.Despite booking early and requesting a room near to the lift for an elderly relative who has difficulty walking, we were allocated rooms just about as far away as you could get, about 80metres ? It seemed that rooms were not allocated until you got there. The breakfast was poor quality and very limited choice. 'Hot' water for tea was in jugs and luke warm. The cooked breakfast items were cold and unappetizing. Parking is quite expensive .Bar and eating areas could be cosier. German TV channel not properly configured. The bed was hard and the pillow thin. Being given a room in the furthest corner of the hotel, a 5 minute walkfrom the lift, when I suspect there were empty rooms much closer.Breakfast not included in the price and was expensive. Children running wild during meals. Breakfast was too expensive. only complaint was noise from traffic at night. Hard pillows and mattress,Had room only rate as we refuse to pay 17euros for a breakfast when there are 2 bakers within 5 minutes walk.
