We stayed at Ibis Wien Mariahilf for 2 nights. It was good experience. The location is great, near the wien bahnhof station which is the main one so it's so convenient to travel around vienna or going outside the city via obb trian. The room is clean and value. I have tried a meal at the restuarant. The food is nice. If you have no idea when you are hungry and too tired to go out. The restuarant there is not the bad choice!.
all reviews » The hotel is in a great location; very close to the metro which gives quick and easy access to the rest of the city. We had a refurbished room and the bed was very comfortable. The facilities are clean and the breakfast excellent. The price was expensive but, it is competitive for Vienna which is a little on the expensive side anyway. Overall I would certainly stay here again despite 1 or 2 teething problems. A great location, 3 min to the closest metro station Westbahnhof. The room's window looks towards an amazing old chirch. Quiet at night. Breakfast is very good, a great variety of ham, cheese, yogurt, vegetables and fruits, bread, jams. Excellent Austrian coffee. The hotel is pretty close to one of the city's longest shopping streets, Mariahilfer. The staff the room the meals everything was excellent highly recommend this hotel bit a couple of years ago we arrive at midnight and it was raining and they said they had no rooms left, we had to walk the streets until 5pm when the station opened and we boarded the train for linz otherwise would have stay a few days,. It is very near to the Westbahnhof and from there, I can travel to many places of attractions. I like the convenience of its location. The breakfast is good. Ibis Wein is into being eco-friendly, so there is no wastage of soap, shampoo, body lotions and the likes. Good for the city. Very good location, rooms are clean and the Wifi is free of charge and works great. Also the parking area is really affordable. We were able to leave our car there for a few more hours, even if we had already checked out, which was very convenient for us. This hotel is located very near to the Westbahnof and just a minutes walk from the main Shopping area..Mariahilf Strasse..and surrounded by very nice pubs..the staffs were very helpful and arranged for two very good trips....ice place to stay. Wifi connection was quite good, beds were comfy. Really good location just few minutes walk from the West train station, its underground station and the shopping street Mariahilf is just beside it. I like the place; the rooms are roomy enough and clean, the staff is friendly and the location is close to both shopping areas and public transportation. I highly recommend it to every body. It is in a very good location, close proximity to the train station and ubahn and of coarse the city center. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and it has all the primary facilities we needed. The location is very good: walking distance from all atractions (Schonbrunn Palace & zoo, Technical museum, Burgring). Great window view: a big cathedral and far away Schonbrunn's gardens. Clean as new. The location is very good (300 m from Mariahilferstrasse and Westbahnhof), very nice rooms, the staff is very kind and the breakfast is an open buffet with delicios food. It was a wonderfull trip. Staff were really helpful and helped us in planning package tours to Salzburg, Budapest and Parague. Breakfast was economical and WIFI was free.. nearby restaurants are great too... The quilt on the double bed is not enough for 2 people. They need to be about 70cm wider to allow for couples. There is another quilt in the cupboard but it would be better is the original quilt was the right size. Initially, my partner found one or 2 staff a little surly when he asked for water as they were more concerned about if we had paid or not (considering we had paid for the room on our arrival and they could have looked this up on the system, this seemed odd). No minibar / fridge in the room, sometimes it was really needed. Fresh towels were not that clean. TV was old with limited channels, but nowadays who watches TV on a vacation. Nothing, everything was perfect. The room was noisy even at the 8-th floor: you can hear the train starting 5AM. Breakfast very expansive: 11E/ person!!. I really have no objection. Will have to pay extra for breakfast. A little defect is that is stuffy in the room (though it was cold in the city) and you can't open the window cause it locked up. None except for the old elevators that are a little slow and may sometimes get very crowded (it is a big hotel with lots of guests.). Smoke smell in the lobby. Poor ventilation in room. Old style furniture. I expected to have a little frig and a safe but it wasn't so. * At least 3-4 metro stops from most attractions * Small shower stall, but gets the job done. Bathroom a little small. There should have been a set of drawers in the room. proper, well located, personnel. Nothing. No mini bar in the rooms. The room is always so hot without a/c which can be noisy! The duvet is not big enough for double bed and there were no small towels.... nothing so far. Small rooms. You have to pay for breakfast. Lack of kettle in room. Have to go down to bar to get hot water. the absence of a fridge,, the small rooms,. Only hangers for clothes - no shelves, no bedside tables, no place to put clothes and other stuff: we had to keep most of our clothes in the suitcases - very inconvenient. just one towel per person in bathroom, which is unusual, very slow WI-FI connection. No breakfast included in the room rate. Area around the train station is run down but did feel safe walking to hotel. I hate it to find a big promotion in the bathrooom, "save a tree, reuse your towels", to find them changed every morning, even though you want to reuse them.
