location is very good. a short walk to Darling harbour and chinatown. close to central stn for the train to circular quay and to/from the airport. shopping centre with all you need straight across the road. plus a few bars and restaurants just a few mins away. apt was very modern and clean. we put do not disturb sign out on one day and staff rang us twice to make sure we didnt want the room cleaning. check in / out very easy and quick. would stay here again.
all reviews » I know that a few people have commented about the description of a one-bedroom apartment vs a studio, but the layout was perfect for us with young children; decent size and very clean bathroom (no bath just shower), king size bed that is 'open' plan in an area or 'room' and then into the large combined kitchen, dining and lounge area with good size balcony. Secure, modern, large roomy apartment with bathroom, bedroom, kitchen / living area with balcony. Continental breakfast pack supplied for each morning. Staff all friendly, efficient and helpful. Well located for walking, about midway between Central Station and Darling Harbour. We loved everything about the accommodation and the location. A special mention of the Front Desk staff. The 2 young ladies who were on duty when we arrived could not have been more helpful or delightful. We will stay again. Room was very spacious and well laid out and had everything to make it comfortable. Close to shops and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again. We were happy with all aspects of our accommodation. Clean, comfortable and lots of space. Rooms were serviced each day although our stay was only 2 nights. . The location is really good, near to town hall and central station. Receiption is nice and helpful. Full kitchened and wash machine is very convenient. Location, close to train station, where we came to and from airport & to catch train to Olympic stadium. Good shops restaurants and bars closeby. Full apartment amenities, with a full kitchen and laundry machines and a separate sitting room and open air balcony. We were able to leave our luggage before we checked in and also after we checked out as we had a late pm flight ... We had two joining rooms. Worked wonderfully with two elder children. Facilities where good and shower was great. The compact but still spacious apartment, plenty of room for 2 people to not be in each others pocket. Large bedroom. on last day funny smell coming from sink in kitchen. That end if Sydney could be seen as 'dodgy' but great access to night life; we walked back from the Recital Hall along George Street - great buzz!. Very slight smell of cigarette smoke on mattress (only), possibly caused by a previous occupant going to bed soon after smoking. There was absolutely nothing that we did not like. We took a studio apartment but next time we will book a 1 bedroom apartment. There was nothing not to like. No negative comments. Just the king bed is two single size bed been put together. The fact that you get your Visa card swiped for $200.00 cash and don't get it back for 5-days. Ridiculous. Thought a little on the expensive side - that would probably stop me from staying again - especially with the extra $40 per day parking. Would have preferred a small carton of fresh milk in fridge instead of long life milk. one remote for 2 tvs. If you were staying for more than a couple of days some extra dishwashing liquid and dishwasher powder would have been good. Only downside the street entrance. We contacted re late arrival and then they tried to call us during a concert to find out why we hadn't arrived.... Miscommunication at the staff end $40 per night for parking is very steep, so we moved to public parking for $20. Looking over balcony and nothing to look at but a small lane way. Being on a very central location, it can be a little noisy on a Friday or Saturday night. Room service was not provided on one day in my seven night stay. Late check in Early leave. noisy from street on Friday and Saturday night. Also early Monday morning (5am) empty kegs being loaded on to truck woke us - sounded like drums in the alley. lack of natural light. $10 for a bottle of water and the up and go pack is a bit much. no umbrellas during a storm as other guests had taken them. Should be more. exhauster does not working well. Not many cafe options around for breakfast. Noisey with traffic,etc. Bathroom. Toilet was hard against the wall & toilet rolls were in your lap. A very badly designed bathroom(room 502) that includes a laundry. Tv, bed lamp & phone all not working. Left mag and new book on top of the bathroom bin and both were thrown out by cleaners. When I approached reception one was nice but offered no solution, other was a useless girl who had to finish her loud personal call first and then laughed it off - useless!. The sound proof was quite bad from the traffic & pubs. Lots of noise from outside traffic and people even though we were 10 story high, booked 5 rooms which cost close to $2000 for 2 nights yet we were unable to have an hr later checkout, when the room was made up towels were thrown on lounge coffee table and runner on end of bed was on the floor after bed was made. Location of the reception in relation to the road. Worst customer sevice that I ever had with Quest . Not efficient of using labour cost. Too slow .
