Quest waterfront is right in the heart of the wharf district of Hobart. It is a short walk to the seafood restaurants and Salamanca markets. We checked in at about 8.15pm, and were sitting down to a seafood dinner by 9pm. Room was very quiet. The staffs are very helpful & accommodate to guest request Have room for people with physical disability/mature couple Vicinity to city attraction eg Salamanca Street, harbour etc Clean & fully equipped Safe.
all reviews » The central position was perfect for exploring all that Hobart has to offer. The apartment, although compact, contained all I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were very helpful and courteous at all times. Very close to waterfront which is what we wanted. We could do our own cooking if we wanted. At the same time plenty of restaurants to choose from. Able to park car in secure garage and not worry about it. Close to everything in Hobart. Car was parked safely so we had the option of walking or taking public transport. Nice large appartment. Staff always greeted you every time you went through the door. Very comfortable and in a great spot close to everything. The girl on the desk was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Convenient location to city and surrounding places of interest. Parking was a plus. Staff very courteous and helpful. Hobart...just sensational, and the whole waterfront precinct was great. Quest was fantastic, we will be back again . Beds were comfortable. Hot water was hot and plentiful. Staff were excellent....helpful, efficient and polite . Service. Receptionist waited for us when flight was delayed. All staff so friendly and accommodating. Wi-Fi should be free for all guests like they are in most hotels/motels in Victoria & NSW. parking a bit tight and limited. noisy evening noise from pub cross the road until early hours of morning. washer and dryer on 2nd floor laundry need replacing badly,ruined one shirt. Noise - banging of the doors when parties were over and people came back to the hotel. Bathroom was not clean. Rest of the accomodation clean and nice (get what you pay for). car park was a bit tight to get into but as it's an old building you get that. Noise until early hrs from night club in lane behind back room. The pillows were atrociously soft/uncomfortable. Made for a very bad sleep1. carpark cramped. Very expensive wi-fi. The decor in the family room so dated. The kitchen & bathroom looked so worn....straight out of the seventies! The worst is that there were no windows or an exhaust fan in the toilets,only one exhaust in the room And all the smells would enter the room...not plesant at all. Would not stay here again. Parking availability very poor. Should have free internet for the price of the rooms. Cooking facilities very basic considering they are apartments. Lift needs attention. Room furnishings looked old and cheap. the Hotel does not utilise the beautiful view it has. When receptionist weren't at the desk during the day, it was extemely hard to contact them. Ringing 9 on the phone in the office did not work. Hardly call these "waterfront" apartments - although close to water, there are no views, small windows and decor is a bit tired and dated. Not really worth the 4 star rating. Stuffy aircon. Tired fitout pub accross road crowd. Milk wasn't replaced. Car park is ridiculously set out and small. Having to pay for parking. Had dried blood on the pillowase and inner pillow. Bed was uncomfortable. No Free broadband/ WiFi. I didnt like the fact that i paid 160 a night and couldnt shower,it was either boiling hot or freezing cold,i had a big red mark where i scolded myself.I left feeling burnt and dirty. Amenities did not work. Our room was not clean when we checked in. The door was wide open and the cleaners were taking a break and they hadn't finished cleaning our room. We checked in after the required check in time and the room still wasnt clean! Told the lady at the reception, she did not apologise, just said they should be too long. The whole experience was spoiled by a nightclub the has opened across the road that opens from 10pm until sometime between 1am and 3 am depending on how the owner feels. Then you have 1.5 - 2 hours of drunks swearing and fighting with each other. When we arrived we were given a key to what we thought was our room..but it was occupied by a semi naked man in the shower. Lift didn't work so we had to drag our bags up the stairs. From 2 am till 5am all we could hear was drunks fighting and vomiting in the street. Very overpriced...would not recommend.. We booked as 3 adults. All paper work said 3 adults. Arrived after reception hours, had to call night duty person on foreign cell. He arrived promptly, gave us a key and left. Went to apt, 1 bed. Went downstairs to change, no guy, not answering phone. 55 year old slept on floor and shared a towel. Not fun. When we complained in the morning, nothing but "sorry". Unacceptable. Also, very noisy with doors slamming and loud voices. Never again.
