The hot water in the shower was really hot and the pressure was good too. I could open the window to get some fresh air. I didn't realise the staff had openned it as the curtains were drawn. We only knew that it was cold and we needed extra blankets from the cupboard. However, we both slept very well -much better than usual in airconditioning and subsequently left the window open for the rest of the three nights once we found it. We had a compact/budget room that was far better than I expected (having read some negative reviews) and it really was great value for money. Didn't have a car so no need to worry about the carpark. We had no noise issues and had amazing views. Very clean, very comfy beds/pillows, great location as it was just a short walk to the CBD and Salamanca. Friendly service, great location for walking around to the city's attractions (Salamanca market, waterfront, Cascade) and nearby public transport links to places further afield (MONA). Only thing I ponder is maybe the hotel needs to rethink the shower nozzle as all the water either went straight into my eyes (as there is no way to adjust it) or due to the high pressure it was going all over the floor - the shower curtain really didn't do much to try and contain the water to the small area. No major complaints at all. Shower spilled water everywhere in bathroom. No a/c but an oil heater. Barely adequate for May and will not cope with colder. Electric blankets needed. No chest of drawers to empty suitcases into for longer stays.Some dust in the room. Shower has a curtain - The mountings could be slightly bigger in the space available to enhance comfort there. Seems to be a slight lack of care by house keeping in the bathroom. Washing up detergent not replaced after use. Garage has an entry height of 1.8 Mtrs so will stop 4wds and vans. The service in the restaurant could be more prompt. n/a. The room that we stayed in (202) has terrible water noise. All we heard all night was the sound of other rooms toilets and showers. There was some "people" noise however, the key issue was the water. Constant toilet flushing and showers - it sounded as though we were sleeping under a waterfall. The rooms could be bigger. No informtion in the room relating to hotel facilities, had to keep asking reception. No information in the room regarding local attractions and how to get there. Sliding window would not close properly which increased the noise from Macquarie St. We had a street side room which was very noisy mostly due to the beeping crosswalk signals going off constantly all night long. Request a room at the back and it should be fine. Shower was a bit small with doors opening from the corners out. Like most places, some doors slamming and echoing thru night and sluggish elevators. I don't have any issues to raise here. Bathroom was functional but very compact. Nothing. had room on 7th floor facing the church. The window opened a little which was fine, but didn't close properly and as a result it was a very noisy room - traffic & partying people noise! It was a Friday & Sat night we stayed so a little noise was to be expected but this was very difficult to block out. The car parking spaces were way too small .It was very hard to park a car and we did have to park on the street. Nothing. If I really have to be picky: at night if I have trouble sleeping I can hear the pedestrian stoplight. But that is about it. Car park. All good - no dislikes. The rooms were rather small, two single beds only just fitted in. The only thing I would suggest is for staff not to leave the windows open in the middle of winter as when we checked in late our room was freezing and it took ages to get warm!. Bathroom was too small. I asked for bathroom with a tub but there was only a small shower. Lifts were a bit slow. Nothing to comment. Room is a bit too compact so is the bath/wc. The toitet get all wet, but it's not a big deal. The big crack in the ceiling - not keeping up the maintainance.
