Very close to beach, and marina, shops, places to eat ( great variety to choose from) public transport. A supermarket and bakery were within a few minutes walk and there were lovely big parks across the road and at the side of the block. The pool and spa were great, warm without being too hot. Having a washing machine and dishwasher gave us even more time to relax. Plenty of room and seating when friends came to visit. We were lucky enough to have a ocean view..bonus!!.

Staff at the oaks were technically fully booked but found us a terrific 9th floor apartment with great views for our entire 5 day stay (and serviced daily. We had a 12 year old boy with us and the location was great. Close to the beach, entertainment and to family friendly restaurants. The room was very clean and comfortable. We would stay there again if you made it a bit more affordable. Location and security were excellent. Comfort and quality of furnishing were great. Very close to beach, marina and shopping. Also, great restaurants nearby with just about any choice of food you can think of. The apartment was modern & spacious. Access to pool, spa & gym. Short walk to restaurants, shopping & beach. Secure, reasonable priced parking. There was no information sheet in the apartment re the facilities but we were given on one asking. I think that should have been either in the room or given to us on check in....Nothing major to worry about ! we would go there again. The parking was a pain. We had a disabled person with us (she couldn't walk very far) and a couple of nights (especially on the weekends) we had to park a couple of blocks away. One car park per unit (included in the price of the room) would be a very good idea. One of the spas was not working. Our washing machine did not fit properly in its cupboard, so the cupboard doors were removed. pot luck regarding allocation of appartment,balcony furniture was lacking comfort. Parking is expensive. With four adults in our two bedroom appartment, we were left wanting for condiments on more than one occasion. No wifi disadvantage and no coffe plunger. Given the style and price these should be supplied. Nothing. Would have been good to know a little more about the parking & fee's, and we had to ask where the reception was, it wasn't clear upon our arrival. Nothing really, it was all ok. Possibly some of the staff could have seemed a little more interested in us as guests and a little bit more helpful?. Apartment was on the first floor so there was some street noise. Carpet & furniture were not as clean as they could have been (some stains). DVD required rewiring to get it to work and was missing batteries from the remote. No mini bar facilities ... And not much variety of coffees and tea ... Also the parking is limited when checking in ... We got a parking fine in ten mins !. Somewhat tight parking. The blanket and doona were not very clean. Parking was quite expensive. Didn't like the cost for overnight parking, very expensive. nothing. At the time of our stay there must have been a storm a few weeks before, and left seaweed all over the beach, which smelt horrid! Although this was not the hotels fault!. The televisions were very old. The fridge wasn't working. I got a knew room due to fridge not working but no longer had beach view- a nice bottle of wine for my troubles would have been nice. We were a family and only had one lounge to relax on which wasn't very relaxing. Beds were poorly made & dressed. Parking.....cost....AND The crazy numbering system. Once we found our assigned spot...it had a car in it!!!!! The new allocation was just as difficult to find!!! Was not overly impressed!!!. Hard to find reception in the rain. Blinds broken. No wifi. I didnt like the lack of tea/coffee/sugar and when we asked for some more we had to wait for house keeping to come up. We have had other motel staff just come up the lift and hand some to us but we had to wait firstly for house keeping. My husband would have come down for some, but no we had to wait for housekeeping. Not very good service. The furniture needed to be looked at. The couch was badly torn, the occasional table looked shoddy with its plastic cover and the bed base still had its plastic wrapping on it. nothing. Room service ignoring door sign. Room service had no knowledge of our checkout day and making us feel like we had to leave earlier then checkout time. The bed was rock hard. My wife had to sleep on the couch!. Room desperately needed a repaint. Couch was not big enough for the number of guests booked in the room. On the first day we requested another lounge chair, was promised that it would be rectified, but after 4 days, nothing happened. lots of cords and stuff hanging around TV, Would have been good with a bath. no windows in the 2nd bedroom. not beachfront as site visually suggests from pics, and mentions 100m from the beach.... Entry / front desk initially hard to find, as address is front of huge building, desk around the back on one way street. Hot tub and pool could have been warmer Room was expensive with few facilities Foxtel had hardly any channels. The parking that we had to pay extra for, was confusing and when our spot was taken by another car, we reported it and was given another car park. The following day we had a notice on our car saying we would be towed if we did not move. We had informed the staff and was told it would be looked into.
