For a hotel picked only for its location near the Airport, we enjoyed it so much we wished we could stay longer. Extremely comfortable beds, great room facilities and very helpful and friendly service. The hotel is in a beautiful marina area, far enough away from the main beach area to be peaceful yet only a short walk way. There is even a small pool which can be more relaxing than braving the sea.

Rooms clean, Beach avout 2 blocks away allowing for a good walk. Interesting places to walk. Balconies to sit out on for a drink/chat/2watch the world go by. Resction staff friendly and helpful.. Watermark hotel. The location was perfect for meeting our friends for an overnight stay en route to Kangaroo Island. We would definitely like to visit again and stay at this motel longer so as to look around Adelaide and its environs more. The Plank Restaurant served us quicklyalthough full, very nice and well presented food. The Haven Inn is in a great location in Glenelg, easy walking distance to fantastic eating venues, the beach and shopping. Excellent value for it's location. Have stayed several times before and will stay there again. Got the best price through bookings.com. Excellent location for using the free on-site parking to walk to the numerous bars and restaurants nearby. Lovely to wake, open the curtains and look out onto the marina in the mornings. Free wi-fi good too. I and my grandaughter brought push bikes, and was asked if we would like to store them for security, which we did. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But seemed overworked and understaffed. The room was comfortable and offered clean, if dated, bathroom facilities. The location was superb with views across the waterway and breakfast was pleasant, if a little haphazardly presented. The hotel is comfortable and the staff mainly helpful. It is situated in a lovely spot and convenient for the tram and buses. Glenelg is the ideal place to stay for access to all of Adelaide. An older motel, that has been reasonably updated and renovated, clean and functional, great spot and very reasonably priced. Comfortable bed, clean room, good facilities including tv, reverse cycle air conditioner and coffee making equipment. Wi Fi reception in the room was erratic and I had to go to reception to get service. beach 2 blocks away but to get to the water across sand was another 150 metres. Too far for the older generation to walk. Found the motel was a little bit tired. needed a paint job done. Newer fixtures and fittings. White curtains were torn in our room 320. Also tiles around pool were cracked and old. that our stay was too short !!!. A bit of street and road noise but that was not unexpected given the location. There was no lift and was a bit of a struggle getting our bags and cases up the stairs. The room was not serviced at all one morning. This was reported to management who responded promptly and professionally but it would have been better not to have occurred at all. We were disappointed that we weren't offerred a room with a balcony as we were staying for 7 nights and the hotel wasn't full. The way it is explained that they keep $100 on our credit card. I went into reception to pay cash but had to put it on credit card. Carpet was stained and room smelt mildy of smoking although all rooms are supposed to be non smoking. They charge a refundable $100 extra for possible damage - unheard of in any other motel we've stayed in!. My Husband thought it was noisy on the Saturday night, but I wear earplugs and never heard a thing. This motel has huge potential due to its outstanding position. Room design and facilities are fine but looking tired. Carpets need replacement which would greatly enhance motels appeal. Fabric of bathroom let them down. Pool too small, however beach close by!. Room had a slighly dated air but no cause for concern. If there's convenient kitchen facilities would be better. Hallways and entryway smelly and dirty carpets. Also did not realize I would be up stairs and parking was not secure so I had to lug heavy equipment and luggage up stairs to my room, and then back Down Again in the morning. Concerned that the security light wasn't working at the top of the stairs. We had to leave for the airport at 4.30am and my friend who is blind in one eye and has limited vision in the other was apprehensive about walking down the stairs in the dark. I did notify staff about the situation, hopefully it's fixed. Needs to be checked regularly. Woken up early by workman in next room. We thought 7am was a bit early to start banging around and disturbing other guests. We mentioned when we booked that it was our honeymoon and we were put in a room right at the top of the stairs where everyone walked past, it would have been nice to have a quieter room. Room on 2nd floor...had to carry suitcases up stairs. The lady that checked us in seemed preoccupied and uninterested in helping us. We were all older women, with very heavy luggage, and were put on the second floor with no lift available. Restaurant staff on the night left a little to be desired. My experience there in the past has been much much better. Disappointed with dinner. Has been better in the past. Starting to be a bit tired in the building, with chipped handbasins, doors peeling and noisy in rooms from next door showers use. Our room had torn curtain. Menu was fairly limited.. The toliet in our room, it didn't flush properly... had to flush twice everytime someone used it... :((. Road noise. Bathroom mould. Not enough parking space. It was ok the first night, but we attended a wedding at Maclaren Vale the 2nd night, and parking was impossible, mainly because most of the cars were 4 wheel drive and not enough room for smaller cars. Average breakfasts, no gluten free options. noisy neighbours got home about 2 am and then went to the dawn service so woke us at 5am. Loud talking going to and leaving their room. Having to get up & leave so early. I didn't want to leave. One morning there was a big party in for breakfast. Hotel guests had no service and very little cutlery to eat with. Bathroom clean but dated. Time to replace shower curtains with glass screens. Had to request hairdryer. The bedding could be a little bit better. Beds way to soft. Cold weather!!!!!!!!! who do I blame?. Everythink was fine for the price paid.
