  We liked the hotel so much, that we could easily recommend it to our friends. It is very quite and green place, aproximately 10 minutes walk from the sea. The beach is great in Malia. The staff was very friendly and helpful.   Very attractive hotel/apartment block located midway between town and the beach, so quiet and yet convenient. Nice pool (though surprisingly cold after a long, hot summer) and outdoor breakfast/lunch area. Staff very friendly and helpful - they even upgraded us to a 2 bed apartment overlooking the pool at no extra cost - because it was available! ... vad folk säger » We understand that Malia can be pretty frenetic in mid summer, but Mid- September was just great and we loved the sandy beach and the Old Town - espec - Socrates is a lovely hotel. Very friendly owners, Eva and George. Absolutely perfect pool area, with comfortable sunbeds and a wonderful garden. We got clean towels every day and the room was perfectly cleaned. It was about 200 m to the bus stop (32) to Hersonissos and to the beach 200-250 M. The hotel is perfectly situated in the countryside quiet yet central. I would definitely go back. And the transfer service I great. (A family with 16 and 9 year old kids)

  The hotel is nested in wonderful garden. Do not hesitate to choose the rooms with small garden in front, it is perfect for kids.   First of all, a very big thank you to the proprietors Parthenis and Elena. I stayed one week at the Parthenis Beach and it is just a fantastic place to relax. The hotel's area is very large so we didn't notice there many people until we went to walk all over the resort.
