I liked the Queen hotel. The hotel itself, and the rooms are modern, very clean and spacious. The staff were excellent - extremely helpful and friendly. Contrary to many reviews, I thought the food (and coffee) was good, there was definitely character to the hotel, and the quiet streets around it (some friendly 'drink stations' across the road. I enjoyed the outside area (for eating and the morning coffee), though there is also an inside section. Not sure the banana pancakes are as excellent as.
all reviews » We found an excellent hotel with a wonderful restaurant. The hotel manager was open for all kind of help. Especially in a very heavy accident he helped us in a fantastic way and didn't take not even 1 cent. Thank you very much Dao!. Its ok for what we paid, breakfast ok, nothing very special, its very close to train station, the bikes we rented there where a little too old. They gave us late check out until 7pm for half price of the room. The hotel had an excellent value for money, so did the restaurant. We particularly enjoyed the possibility to organised days with a driver and a car at really little price. We had a very pleasant stay. Very helpful staff - thank you very much again! The Queen Hotel has an excellent value for money, we would book there again. Well managed hotel. Nice room and bed, very pleasant and good location next to the train station and close to bus station. friendly staff, possibilty to take a shower before taking the night train, great help with organizing a tour. Location was very good. Just next to the station and a 5min walk from bus station. Staff really friendly. We rented bikes for a rainy ride to tam coc and co and when we got back 5h after check out, they offered to let us use a room to shower free of charge. Close to Ninh Binh station. Female staff were very accomodating and helpful in regards to organising motorbike hire, tours etc. nice pleasant room, most of the staff friendly close to train station. Le rtapport qualite prix. My only complaint would be a grimy bathmat. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed The Queen Hotel, and Ninh Binh. Nothing really to say. No safety deposit box in the room, but the Manager at reception locks valuables in his safe so OK. Room wasn't very clean. It was the only hotel of this price range where we had to kill a few bugs before going into bed. Spacy room but with bo decoration at all which made it a bit sad. Breakfast ok, but not special. All in all a bit expensive for what you get in vietnam nor M. Too far from town and very limited for food options. On arrival we were told by a member of staff that there was a rooftop restaurant- but when we took the lift to the top floor it was deserted and looked like someone was living up there and doing thier laundry. One male member of staff one wanted to help you if it concerned booking a tour or night bus through the hotel - for everything else he was useless. Wouldn't stay there again. one of the staff was extremely unhelpful and really not nice, in fact he was quite rude far from everything. No wifi internet. No drinkin water. This the worse 3 star hotel I have seen.
