Free shuttle bus to Hoi An - definitely make use of it as it's a beautiful little town and free return transport. Room was big and bright. Make sure you tell the taxi driver it's Sandy Beach Resort and not just rely on the address as that far away from the beach. The room is with a balcony. I like the breakfast, especially the bacon, very tasty. The staff is very friendly, although their english is not very good. I love the bbq on beach.
all reviews » Very nice bungalows and a beautiful garden. Long, empty and beautiful beaches. Very good breakfast buffet, but it costs 17$. Free shuttle to Da Nang and Hoi An. right on the beach, spacious and clean sea view rooms, colonial design, 2 swimming pools, good food, courteous staff, free shuttle bus to Hoi An, free wi-fi. Free wifi throughout entire resort!. Pool, Beach and the park. Relaxing and massage. was nice place. The Sandy Beach is situated on the beach between Da Nang and Hoi An. The hotel as nice grounds in a natural environment. We stayed in a garden villa which had its own terrace and was very peaceful. The room was OK with flat screen TV king size bad and large bathroom with good hot water shower. This hotel gave me my ultimate need... A private, clean, beautiful , private beach. And, that's it's best feature. The rooms are clean, but outdated. Most staff members are friendly, but not very helpful. There are shuttles to Da Nang and Hoi An daily, which is really nice. the beach & pool, location is in between danang & hoi an.Nice to relax and chill before you head out and food not that expensive by the hotel. THe staff, the place, very clean. The beach. It's a little far from street food stalls or other restaurants. Only restaurant nearby is in the hotel. There's not much to do in the hotel except for beach and pool (great if that's all you want to do and not leave the hotel). A little far away from the city center. The swiming pool is too small and closed at 6pm,that 's too early. Staff speaks only little English. Times schedule for shuttle busses is inconvenient. The time to stay in town is too short. Taxi costs you at least 10$ to Da Nang. garden view rooms are outdated and very small, advertised on-location sports center was closed down, certain staff spoke poor English, strong currents at hotel's beach. - the room espacially the carpet was dirty - they try to bill you as much as they can extra. was good ..nothing really. The hotel is isolated with not much going on, there are two pools with large terrace, however there are less than a dozen sun beds on each. The hotel reception/Lounge/restaurant are very cluttered, hot and uncomfortable with no AC but just ceiling fans. The common area are dated and need a major refurbishment. Would have excepted more from Centara. It's not a 4 star hotel, it's outdated. But, if your paying a 3 star price (others on the beach are 4-5 stars and much more money).. Don't expect 3 star prices for a 4 star. Be realistic. They also charge big service charges. SO DONT TIP. I even got a big service charge on top of rate. So don't tip drivers for shuttles... when I asked what this charge was.. they said for the shuttles and other services. So, HIDDEN COSTS. poor communication skills, english pretty bad as I had few mis communications with them over the phone. rather talk to the staffs face to face so that they will understand your need better. We ordered coktail, appetizers, main dishes. Only two minutes after they serve my cocktail, I got the appetizers and T-Bone steak. When I finished my coktail, my main and french fries dish were cold.I Ask medium and the t bone was overcook. My T-bone steak was very fine compare the one of my wife, overcook also. The service was terrible. The staff wasn't so helpful. The resort looks nice on the outside but inside is old and not very well-keep.The tour to Cham island we booked at the resort wasn't worth it. And it's probably the only one resort in Vietnam that doesn't include breakfast when we book through kayak. All in all I wouldn't rate that resort a 4 stars.
