We loved Maria, the manager at Isola! She was very friendly and helpful. Rachael and Joey, our concierges were awesome! We stopped by their desk daily! They made wonderful suggestions and followed up with reservation for us. They could not have been more helpful or friendly! The bartender on Saturday, March 16, was incredibly cool and friendly. Alex made us feel we were in his home and treated us like royalty. Rachael is so warm and professional. I can't wait to go back. I have styed at many 5 star hotels. This hotel rocked my world. The room was always clean and the food in the restaurant was delicious and creative. Loved the energy, location and vibe of this hotel. Very close to subway stations, close to good restaurants in Little Italy, close to many shops in Soho/Broadway. Very tasteful decoration, helping and kind staff. Rooms are small, but graceful. Mine was sunny and clear. Bathroom OK. Very good and agreeable central heating. Breakfast is apart , but hearty and hale, for the price as practiced in the neighbourhoos. Lovely restaurant, dine there by all means, even if you're not staying at the hotel. Atmosphere, very relaxed, cool, staff that is not pushy and discrete, they will help you, but not follow u every step. Cool design, good wiew, decent size of room. We got upgrade. Later we went to Midtown 5 stars hotel, we were satisfied, but we felt better, more comfortable in Mondrian. Would go again. Complimentary i pad. Now I decided to try Mondrian in Miami. Our stay at the Mondrian in Soho could not have been better, we where treated like VIP from the moment we walked in to the moment we left! (Even though we weren't) Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations! We will return! A special thankyou must go to Carlos on reception and Rachel the concierge for being utterly delightful! We had an issue with our reservation and the hotel quickly and graciously upgraded us at no cost for our entire stay. We also had some unusual requests for assistance and those were all met quickly and happily. We loved how friendly everyone was and the maid service was excellent. We loved how clean everything was - everywhere we went - the hallways, room, lobby - all extremely clean. The view from our room 2312 was super. The only thing I didn't like was the price but you have to expect that in NYC. The staff and the location were great. The hotel is very popular and lots of people frequent the restaurant, bar, and ground floor. There is obviously a lot of buzz about the place, and it's good location in SoHo, near NoLita, makes it attractive for an area with a nightlife looking to happen. I really liked the hotel. The rooms were efficient and attractive. Small but set up to feel roomier than they might have been square foot wise. I was upgraded so that may have helped. Nice views from upper floors. And quiet in spite of construction nearby. We were very impressed with Mondrian SoHo. The rooms were clean and luxurious. We even got a free upgrade to a deluxe room after we encountered some problems with the aircon unit and a complimentary room service breakfast (thank you Randolph!). The Mondrian was absolutely beautiful! The location was perfect...a 2 minute walk to shopping, Little Italy, Chinatown...staff was extremely professional, friendly & truly went out of there way to be helpful. We can't wait to go back!. - Location is excellent, walking distance to all the shopping and close to bars/restaurants - the hotel concierges were really good - the restaurant is really lovely - price is decent given the location - hotel room was cleaned every day. Extremely comfortable and perfectly designed room (with simply amazing views from 22nd floor) and very friendly staff. Also common areas are very nice. I didn't eat at the hotel but also the bar and the restaurant are beautiful. Concierge Leah Alexander & front desk Justin made my stay extra special. The King Suite -- 2401 -- was stellar. The most exquisite spot in NYC. The scent upon arriving ... large room, beautiful shower, ultra comfy bed. The managing staff were very good. We had to move rooms 3 times and they were very apologetic and gave us breakfast vouchers for our trouble and let us have late check out at no extra cost. The restaurant is fab. loved the room decor, products, generous room size (large suite), gorgeous view. Staff helpful. Mostly stayed in our room (!) room service was nice. We will DEFINITELY come again. LOVED IT and well travelled. Upscale without being pretentious! Everyone says hi and smiles. My third time staying there in less than a year, and this time they upgraded me to a suite with a terrace. Some strange smell in corridors, but not that is particullary relevant comparing to positive things. Liked it all. - Lack of nice cosy lounge area/bar - not as luxurious as I would have expected for a 5-star hotel - service was not the best. When we arrived at the hotel we had to take care of our luggage ourselves with no-one offering to help - the website makes it look like the hotel has an outdoor rooftop terrace, which is not the case. Had to walk a few hundred meters to find the nicest shops and bars - no, seriously, also the location is actually pretty excellent. Refrigerator heats the surface above so must watch what you place there. The entrance lobby is cold and uninviting. Could be made much nicer and cosier. Not much really. On my 1st stay there were some technical issues in the room (bathroom, phone and a few things missing) but they were fixed fairly quickly. And I don't know if they keep track, but since then my 2 stays were spotless. nothing! Other than a little pricey for the room but location makes up for it. The pervasive fragrance reminded me of cheap cologne and some of the furry decor of an after hours club. the toilets blocked all the time and the shower was only Luke warm. Nothing , it was perfect . The heating noise and the light in the room because of no window inside. Problem with the room lock meant we had to change rooms after being locked out twice. Breakfast service is very poor with inattentive wait staff. Always a prolonged wait for the elevator. Rooms were small, but well designed for efficiency. No smaller than a typical NYC room. That I couldn't stay longer!. Small rooms Bathroom not very private (not good for couples) You could hear everything in the corridor and on the next door apartments. No instructions on how to work the air con unitm No welcome pack with details of hotel / surrounding areas. Rooms quite small, so we needed a suite, which was okay! Should have a kettle in the room, would be a nice touch. In the last day I had a problem with the air conditioning, but when I report this question at the check out, they were very nice and refund me the money. The club that is downstairs, makes the staff worry to much, sometimes they seem kind of tired. The service is not as good as the day service. But still a fine service. That I had too leave. No coffee in room or lobby in am. That required room service which was slow and expensive. Not a full bathroom: sink is in the room. Just a bit disappointed that there wasn't a gym, but I understand that space is limited in NYC. The cocktails were overpriced & didn't taste good, and the staff in the club Mr H downstairs were lazy, bad mannered & extremely rude. Requested turn-down service via the in-room iPad and didn't receive it. Nothing really nothing was bad... That only stayed for one night. WiFi for 9.95$ per day is not up-to-date any more and doesn't fit to a 5star hotel like this!!.
