We spent 1 night during our honeymoon at the Redbury. It's a pretty large and very trendy hotel at a great location by the Walk of Fame. Easy access to restaurants, bars and museums. There's also a large outside bar in the hotel which seems to be a popular spot (that also means a lot of noise at night but we were prepared for that). We had a room with a balcony, washer, very spacious shower, record player, large TV and a dining area. It's very modern and yet classic at the same time, and we fe.

Loved the balcony & the outdoor area where we could relax after 'pounding' the pavements. The rooms was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. High marks for style... Location Food Staff. kitchen, and good food and people down stairs. Staff was Good and helpful. Location. Valet staff Edwin, blonde girl at reception and the rooms. Our room (Vine flat) promised a view of the Hollywood sign, Capitol records and Griffith Observatory when we booked the room, but we saw none of them and the room was instead facing the courtyard bar and the parking lot. We did pay extra for the view (I believe the Sunset flat has the courtyard view and that is cheaper) so that was disappointing. Little noisy at times. I stayed Mon - Thurs and on Thursday night the bar on the 2nd Floor opened which played loud music out into the courtyard, If this happens on all weekend nights I wouldnt recommend staying here then as it was very loud. Mon - Weds though it was perfectly fine and the only music was coming from the turntable in my room ;) There was some small annoyances like an overly complicated TV and a ridiculous amount of light switches that took ages to find out which ones did what!. They had run out of hot chocolate and two of the food option when we arrived and had breakfast before checking in. Being older, would have liked a little more light in the unit. If we had stayed longer would have liked a fridge. Maybe there was one there somewhere but as we didn't have a need for one it didn't matter. Our only complaint is that The Redbury is located right next door to a nightclub which can be very noisy on Friday and Sat nights until early in the morning. For one full hour we tried to make the TV work. There was something wrong with the remote; didn't work when we swiveled the TV to the direction of the bed. They have Warner cable but you can't buy any movies. Room would have been absolutely superb if some type of room deodorizer had been used. Had somewhat of an old smell although it was obvious that the furnishings were very up to date. Room maintenance during stay was incomplete. The lounge terrace with (good) music and guests excludes any possibility of sleep before 1 AM in weekends (for rooms facing the courtyard). In room dining. The club makes a racket until 2 am. We had to pay $120 extra to move to a room that was quiet. They should have disclosed this. Also, they are cheap with amenities like coffee, and nickle and dime you to death, charging for internet (unbelievable), and almost every object placed in the room. anyone can be nice when there is no problems,then things change fast when there is one. Kitchen facilities were not complete. Not so clean. I have stayed there 2 times. The first stay was OK, but during the second time I was given Room No 214, the same level as the inner yard, My balcony had a "wonderful" view of a Dirty glass of a way out + 6 gas ballones, which were put just next to the balcony. The floors of the balcony were very dirty, the same as a sofa and the carpet in my room. To be fare, after I have pointed out this to the reception staff, they gave me some discount ($58). Reception staff, not at all helpful, wasn't told about the other hotel pool we could use or the complimentary car, noise was terrible even though we where given a quiet room it was right above the speaker.
