I liked the quaint decor and the small, intimate design of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. And the patio area was just so relaxing and visually pleasing. The smallness of the rooms did not bother us since they were so cute. Also, if you don't mind walking a little bit, you are situated near the activities on Sunset Blvd., the restaurants and shops on Santa Monica Blvd., and the upscale home design and fashion shops on Melrose Ave. The area looks totally safe and has man.
all reviews » The Beverly Terrace was a pleasant surprise. Its a quaint, charming boutique hotel with a European or Spanish ambiance feel. The staff couldn't be more accommodating and friendly. The interior terrace is a wonderful place to have breakfast in the morning or chill out there at the end of your day. The rooms are small but cozy with the feel of staying at a friends house as opposed to a hotel. I I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends. We are two, Swedish mid-20's guys who stayed for just one night and basically just slept there. It's a great hotel if you're just staying for one or a couple of nights. Great location, about 15 min walk to Sunset Boulevard. Friendly Russian/Baltic lady in the reception. Free parking. Nice and clean rooms. Big flatscreen TV with a lot of channels, barely used it though. Flat iron in the room. Fantastic location and a lovely ambience. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room, although small, was very comfortable. The bathroom was tiny but spotless. Loved the simple continental breakfast and its courtyard setting. Would definitely go back and recommend it to friends looking for good value in Beverly Hills. I had a very formal wedding to attend at the Beverly Hills Hotel but there was no way that I could afford to stay there. The Beverly Terrace was very close (1.7 miles) & affordable. My room was comfortable & clean, & the staff was friendly (well, most of them were). The hotel is in a good location, just in the middle of Beverly Hills, which is one of the best areas in LA. Hotel is small but cute, nice relaxing garden where you can have long breakfasts. Hotel offered us a discount because of the renovation going on during our stay. Our room was small but well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was adequate. The staff of the hotel were friendly and helpful. We loved the inner courtyard of the hotel. But, see dislikes. Good location if you have a car. Cheaper parking (10 $) than most hotels. Not luxury but clean. The staff were exemplary and a real asset to what is generally a very average hotel undergoing significant and disruptive remnovations. The staff moved me to room 20 which was a lot better than room 14. It is a terrible shame the hotel has removed it's pool, one of the main reasons I wanted to stay here for five nights. The restaurant serves an average range of overpriced meals. The breakfasts were good. I'd stay here again only if the remnovations are completed and I have one of the larger roo. Friendly staff, pleasant terrace, good location. Position friendly staff. They are in the process of doing some painting to the exterior of the building. Also, we were missing a towel rack in the bathroom. You're not able to manage the AC in the room yourself. Didn't really bother us though. The breakfast is a continental breakfast as described so don't expect a big Swedish one... Overall the hotel is a bit tired but it is being renovated so that should be resolved soon. The building was very old & the rooms somewhat shabby. A new coat of paint on the exterior & to the rooms & new carpet would really perk the atmosphere up. The rooms were very small but perfect for one or maybe two people. It was an economy room but all in all my experience was a good one. The breakfast is OK, but the eggs are extra. Should be included in the deal. Queen Room is a bit tiny. It is unfortunate that smoking is allowed in the inner courtyard. It seems unnecessary in this day and age-- retro, in an unkind way. Breakfast is nothing special but it'll do if you just want anything to eat. Wifi in the rooms was a little spotty. Other than that, everything was very good. Somebody left me a message at front desk, but they forgot to tell me. My room and bathroom was a little too small. No elevators. Parking space too small, hence car keys must be left at front desk for them to move the cars during night and morning. Relatively small hotel, rooms were little too close to each other, not enough privacy. Room was a bit smaller than others on our trip around California. The check in process wasn't very good. When I walked in the lady said, "So why are you here again?" I had just been traveling and driving through heavy traffic in the city and didn't appreciate not being welcomed. She should have said something like, "Welcome, how may I assist you?" So right off the bat I didn't feel welcome. Once they realized I actually had a real reservation I was all of a sudden treated very well. I mean why else would I be there?. Didn't like the smell of the parrot in the reception area. Charge for WiFi! I would urge all hotels to factor this into the cost automatically when offering rates :). The price seemed higher than I am used to, but it is an expensive area so.... Bed not very comfortable. Room small but adequate for two adults. Very little to complain about. Was a reasonable budget hotel. Only niggle was lack of towels one day and when i asked the front desk, the lady was insistent towels were already in the room. She still gave me towels though so no real problem. No eggs for breakfast. personnel de cafeteria avare de sourires. the room was very very cold no warmer in room parking car cost 10 $ daily. Rooms facing to Santa Monica Blvd and N.Doheny Dr are noisy . Choose rooms facing to the patio. Needs to be updated, a little shabby looking. Could use some remodeling. For 200 usd a night, are definitely not acceptable: - missing elevator - wifi not working properly - the interior garden is nice, but with the people standing there screaming until late night, it becomes a nightmare.
