i have visited dubai many times but on this occasion i had to travel on my own with the children which was daunting but the hotel made it so easy, i couldnt recommend it enough!! facilities were fantastic and had everything you could want. The lush ambience of the garden, in which the room complexes are situated. The abundant access to swimming facilities in 3 pools and the beach and sea.

Minor complaints when checking into the room at 1 AM but immediately rectified: tv remote control not working, towels for two but only one bathrobe, mini bar key not provided at reception check in. No free courtesy bus; hotel charges heavily for use of hotel bus from and to airport. A bit overpriced, but Dubai on the beach seems to be that way. And possibly worse due to high season after Christmas.Half the hotel was under refurbishment and to be wakened at 6.30am with drilling and cutting wood was not acceptable, on complaint the hotel stopped the work and gave us a bottle f wine and a fruit bowl, so they rectified the problem. there is very bad out side reserviation if you ask to go some wher out of the hotel. the public discos makes the Hotel croweded during the night, which will cause that you can not enjoy the nights view of the see. Well some of the staff give wrong information about facilities in it...So i hope that you inform the mangement of that to really take that in mind that some of the staff dont like helping guest (Reception) and they dont give honest answers about some facilities.Room was a bit smelly, probably because of the shower curtain and the minaret is too close for this reason it is very loud during the night, but it doesn't sound too long. Yes, there was no suna bath.standard room too small had to upgrade. Badly needs new Televisions and a better choice of channels. Some form of satelite. We read a lot of books!!!. inspite of what announced (10% tax + 10% staying tax) i have been debited 20%, plus another 20% for a different superior room not required but stated as the only one possible solution) and final the trial to charge me 1 full day rate of early check-in (7 am) inspite of a wirtten free possibility!. room facilities are a bit old. The smell of the room when we checked in was very bad. The birds making sounds kept me awake all night. Services are bad, staff do not speak proper english, my designer couture dress was ruined at hotel drycleaner. The hotel stuff are not polite and roude in communication with the customer, I dont know which nationality is that!!!. Bad services, we got smoking room although we had reserved non smoking,no possibility to regulate air conditioner so we were freezing but they said they can't do anything. At the last day they switched it off. We couldn't got compliments (fruit basket on daily basis) what was said in booking. Check out took 45min because they didn't accepted booking price.the rooms were awful and resembled a 3 star motel rather than the 5 star claim made.
