the location of hotel is wonderful as well as the staff, facilities and cleanliness.services specially for the royal club rooms.the view from our balcony was fabilous. Water Sports, Golf, Service and I got Royal Club Room for 900 AED which was the best thing I loved :). The room was excellent. We were bitterly disappointed at the fact that many parts of the outsude areas were just a building site. we were constantly interupted by the noise from huge heavy machinery and this ruined our stay. The dinner buffet is reasonnable but could be better.the sea food buffet is good, not the best I know but indeed very good and we appreciated it. However, a family with three children should be in a position to book its table in advance and not to wait 30 minutes to get a table. But to be fair, I have to say also that hotel staff has listened to us and found a solution quickly. The food in the hotel wasnt up to the 5 Star standard of the rest of the hotel.Was not able to go on the boat ride due to cancellation of services and water sports activities was not available. The only thing is the bar could have had better music and maybe on Friday and Saturday nights have a disco.the booking not include any meal. food price is very expensive. The high price of Buffet and less of choice of type fo food. Also theyhave change tv to lcd or PLazma in the hotel. No one speaks Arabic in the hotel which is the 1st language in the U.A.E!!! Also, every thing is written in English.The prices!. they are using very cheep an old TV inside the rooms. The TV table is not showing a high quality as much as the building.jakuzi for men and women was separate. slow lifts. Sea water had a slight yellowish tinge; I guess it could be because of oil spill as we could see ships in the background. The fact that I was constantly referred to as Mr. Woods even though I ama divorced mother with a child and all bookings were made by me! Theinternal telephone system could do with updating as the buttons on thephone did not correspond to the departments indicated, I was finallyadvised to dial 0 for all my requirements.The restaurants were disappointing. No happy hour. Had to pay to play squash. No towels offered at sqaush court.a little dated in some areas. Construction site next to hotel.Vegetarian alternatives are very poor, getting a cheese sandwich became an bit of an issue. Earthmovers making too much noise in the night. Had to wait for an hour after check in time to get into our room.Although staying in Royal Club with its own breakfst venue this was only available at weekends and had to use the normal venue during the week. the indoor table tennis table could be better located so that you do not have to chase the balls down the hall way.
