Desk manager was excellent, as were front desk employees. We had a problem with a trainee front desk staff; 1st) the trainee made my wife pay a deposit before they would give her the key. Ok, understood. But I spoke to the manager and explained that I had booked it on my visa and would pay in full upon my arrival from dubai later in the evening, and that my wife's money was for her and the kids to go to wadha mall, eat and do some shopping. The manager was very apologetic and refunded the mone.
all reviews » It is a lovely hotel, pure luxury in Emirates style. The room was a good size and beautifully decorated. I had a good view of the city. The rooftop pool was heated and a nice way to get some exercise. Since taxis are relatively cheap in Abu Dhabi, I used them to get around. But the bus station is literally right across the street so you could easily use buses to get around. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Grand Millennium and would stay again!. The location is great. We went into the city to do some Christmas shopping before going home. The mall is very convenient and we were able to find most of the things we needed. The valet parking was a life saver and they even brought my car up and had it ready when I told them I had to leave early in the morning. The room was clean and the feather beds were VERY comfortable. The hotel was a lot better then what I was expecting. The staff were friendly and helpful. An incident happened with my car by the valet and it was resolved as quick as they could. I was also allowed to freshen up after 12 hours that I checked out. Would really recommend this hotel to business or leisure travellers. the rooms are spacious the toiletries are from a good brand everything is there to make your stay as enjoyable as possible complimentary newspaper staff is superfriendly and very accommodating this is a lovely hotel, great to stay here, close to Al Wahda shopping mall which is the biggest in Abu Dhabi...perfect!!. We were supposed to stay for only a night with my wife there but since the hotel seems nice and cozy, we decided to extend our stay for another 2 nights and this time with our daughter. Oh she love the pool! And the mall is nearby so you can get hold of anything!amazing stay!. Grand Millenium is well situated hotel near a huge shopping mall with a lot of luxury in the room. Good services and friendly and efficient staff. Free internet ( but be aware that for a fast internet you have to pay ). Swinmming pool on the top deck ( 31e). I liked the location it has an adjacent pub porters which serves excellent food and very freindly a very enjoyable stay and I will be booking at the end of the month when back in Abu Dhabi so long as they keep A good rate I will not venture anywhere else . Modern, clean and spacious. Close to shopping mall and eating outlets/restaurants. Taxis readily available at front door. Staff were very helpful in finding an extra day for our accommodation at the last minute....our error when we booked!. The location is amazing and its really cheap for such hotel. The reception and the farewell by the staff were fantastic. We were very surprised by the luxurious rooms and technology inside the rooms. The hotel is comfortable and clean, we love the two bedrooms apartment we stayed in, also the staff was friendly, wherever you go in the hotel you can feel the relaxing atmosphere. I liked the free internet connection provided and the facilities inside the room. I did not like that housekeeping was knocking at my room door at 8am asking if I was checking out!? I had already requested a late check out, and even if I had not requested a late check out, no one should be knocking at my door on a saturday morning at 8am to see if I am checking-out. The mall is not connected by a walkway to the hotel. You have to go outside and walk around to get from one to the other. Very inconvenient when you have lots of packages. The controller for the lights and AC did not work very well and it took a while to be able to change the temperature in the room. The remote for the tv was also not working and we had difficulty watching any programs. The shower hose leaked and the water took a very long time to warm up. I wanted to try the Italian restaurant in the hotel but they said the kitchen was to busy so wait was 2 hours. Wasn't best pleased but the concierge directed me to another restaurant close by. there was an odd smell of sewage in the bathroom there is a touchscreen to arrange the ac and the lights etc, but that didn't work properly the airco makes a lot of noise. The airco is quite noisy, but maybe I don't understand how to manage it in a adequat way. I cannot give any bad news because there is none. Everything was fine for our 3 day stay. The receptionist at the apartment side. The reception lady was nice but she didn’t give me any information about the hotel, breakfast restaurant, mall access, pool, spa timing … she was in a harry even though there were no on waiting!! There is no access to the mall, and the weather is too hot!!. Just remember, if you want a mini bar in your room , you mustrequest that it is filled on your check in. Our bathroom had a bad smell coming up the drain. Charges for internet are annoying. Some rooms over look the mall you feel you our outside from the sound of the engines of the ACs on top of the mall. TV system was very bad, its connected to some kind of a computer. there was almost no sound on the TV. sometimes it freezes and we have to reboot it and rebooting it takes ages and you cannot use the phone until its done rebooting. the domotica in the room is not always functioning very well, which can lead to misunderstandings when you want to switch off the AC, but instead the light of "clean my room" goes on and you cannot get it off ;o) Also, there is noise from the exhaust of the AC's of the mall, a constant humming... nothing. The hi-tech bedroom lights that took forever to work out how to turn them off. They didn't provide my wife with a table mirror in order for her to use her hair straighteners. Minor issue really. - again I was given a room at the side of the Mall, which has a lot of noise from the exhaust of the mall's AC. It is the third time I slept here in a short time, they should remember. -2nd time I stayed-> complimentary newspaper, now there was nothing - the AC is very badly controllable and very noisy -the devise with which to control lights etc doesn't work properly -the pc devise is extremely noisy !. Hotel got lost our car / spent 2 hours next day morning to find it...car valet parking service to improve... Getting a cab is difficult sometimes, due to the proximity of Al Wahda Mall. The Rooms were a bit dark. The perfume they use in the lobbies/corridors was very strong and concentrated, reminds me of cheap deodorants. TV continually switched itself off. They sent a engineer to fix it quickly but it still broke down. Very limited programme selection. Stained cushions on bed, otherwise clean. Feel value for money was limited as quality was limited not really special as a 5star. the room that was given to me on during my stay was 1423,the aircond was not functioning well...even when i put it on the highest the temp will suddenly dropped and leaving the room quite heaty.very uncomfortable and it disturbed my good sleep. Our room was above the exhaust of the ac of the mall which caused a lot of noise all day and night it is a bit cold in the corridors the swimming pool area: not enough chairs and with the high walls, the sun is fastly gone. There are so many rooms that are connected to other rooms. Typically, this may not feel very safe to occupants. I enjoyed the experience though. when the sink in my bathroom has blocked, the person who came and fixed for me with a stick, he walked around the bathroom while the water of sink is running from that stick all over the bathroom, i think he was trying to dry it. it was kinda disgusting for me.. No. I didnt find anything bad. There was nothing that I didn't like, except that the cost of room service was exorbitant. I ordered a cup of Turkish coffee and it was 75 AED!. It is mainly business oriented. The multi-purpose remote control as well as the radio service did not work. كل شئ جميل بس التكييف طريقته غريبه كان يفصل ويشتغل لكن كان كل شئ ممتاز. The light in the wardrobe would not turn off during the night. None at all. There is no access to the shopping mall for the hotel.. It was unsafe to walk to the mall.
