Very nice, clean, accommodating hotel. very helpful staff, good food, nice indoor pool.How helpful the staff were after we found out that we had no rooms booked, and they sorted us out with 2 more. our room was lovely, not pristine and obviously lived in but was good value for money, a good size and a great view. grand looking hotel - even if dated, but it beer to the feel and history of the hotel.

The hotel’s dining room has been totally refurbished and guests can choose to savour the Regency ambience, or discover an international flavour in the hotel’s separate Mexican and French restaurants. Calming and relaxing in the summer, striking and dramatic in the winter, the maritime scene provides a spectacular backdrop to all the public areas, and the French restaurant has stunning sea views.

Parking charges: GBP 5.00 per day. Maximum charge is GBP 15.00 for 3 days or more. Dinner consists of 3 courses from the à la carte menu. Please see Policies for prices. Please inform the property before arrival of the number of children and adults that are staying.

Information about the area

There are more than 10 beaches in Newquay, and there is a bit of coastline to suit all tastes.

From the aquarium and zoo to exciting adventure playgrounds, Newquay boasts many family attractions. Come face to face with reef sharks in the underwater tunnel at the Blue Reef Aquarium. Make a splash in the tropics of The Oasis Fun Pool or Waterworld at Trenance Leisure Park.

The hotel is an ideal base to explore the Eden Project, Jamie Oliver’s inspired Fifteen restaurant, and Rick Stein’s seafood restaurants. Rick Stein’s restaurants in Padstow are a 30 minute drive away; Fifteen is a 15 minute drive. The Eden Project is about a 40 minute drive away at St Austell, where you can also visit St Austell Brewery.

By Car
- Join the M5, and follow it to Exeter.
- After this, take the A30 into Cornwall, and follow the signs for Newquay after the Innis Downs roundabout.

By Train
There are through intercity rail services to Newquay in the summer. At other times you will need to change trains, usually at Par or Plymouth.

By Bus
National Express serves Cornwall and Newquay from destinations throughout Britain. Express coaches go direct to Newquay from London Victoria and Heathrow Airport. Connecting services to Cornwall are available from Bristol, Birmingham and London.
