Staff were friendly and polite and would have dome anything for our comfort, giving good advice on lunch / dinner recommendations. Was really impressed with out overall stay at St Bernards. The room was small, but clean, tidy and perfectly equipped, ideal for our one night stay in Newquay. We had a lovely stay at St. Bernards, the people were very friendly, and welcoming. The owners were very nice and made us feel very welcome. We also likedhow trusted we felt in the hotel, as if they were welcoming us intotheir home. It was in a perfect part of newquay, out the way so it was quiet at night but a 30 second walk to the shops. and the owners were so nice too!. Fantastic stay! Friendly staff, clean rooms, and great breakfast! Rightnext to town and beaches! Highly recommended. Rooms were very clean, modern and spacious. Plenty of choice for breakfast, good location and friendly owners.Everything, the owners were very welcoming and myself and my partner will definatly stay there again in future. Everything! The hotel was very close to the town centre which was convient, but also meant there was alot of people walking by in the early hours of the morning.It would be beneficial to highlight on the website that the lounge is only available at certain times, we booked with a young baby and thought the lounge would be available at all times so that we had bit more freedom than always being in the bedroom when in the guesthouse. We were unaware at how small the room was, and with 2 large suitcases,it was difficult to manover ourselves around the bed.Shower not good and a bit small. Cold breakfast,weak coffee. the mattress in our double room was of very poor standard and you could feel every spring. The room we stayed in was not the same decor as shown on the website andwe were charged the same amount.Room small with poor water pressure and tiny ensuite. The location of the hotel was bad - it was on busy street. Could not leave window open at night - it was too noisy. Room was very hot. The sink is in the room and there was a terrible sewerage smell. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. We left a day earlier because too uncomfortable - did not get a refund. Will never stay there again.
