My son (4 years old) and myself really enjoyed our stay in the park inn.. When we checked in we were giving a room on the 3rd floor when I went up I realised there was no bath in the room which for my son is essential so I asked at reception if we could be changed and they changed us to the 5th floor straight away which I was very grateful for. Also we had a long day out on the Saturday and didn't return to the hotel until 11:30 that night, we were hungry so I asked reception if they could send.
all reviews » We only stayed for one night as we had tickets for the Peter Gabriel concert at the Phones4U Arena. The hotel was perfectly situated for both the arena and access to all the delights Manchester shopping and culture has to offer - and we would not have known there was a National Museum of Football in the country if we hadn't scanned the helpful literature placed in our room. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable, we slept like tops. For a small charge of £5 we opted for breakfast in. The room was lovely, best hotel I have stayed at in manchester, very relaxing. The reception staff were welcoming. The hotel was quiet not rowdey. Hotel was close to men and for city shopping. Food in restaurant was good, Stan the waiter was exceptionally good, he deserves a promotion. Room had full length window so some natural light. Bed was very comfy and able to relax. Hotel was exceptionally clean. Bathroom lovely. All the lifts worked. Locked myself in my room maintenance were with me in . Excellent location for the MEN Arena- a 2 min safe walk across the road. Close to the Arndale Centre and great shopping, also Clubs and restaurants. Rooms were modern and very clean with comfortable beds. There was plenty of choice for breakfast which was all a standard quality but fresh. Staff were very helpful in spite of being very busy. We booked 2 rooms and were allocated rooms next to each other without having to ask. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Manchester. My 12 year old son & I booked into this hotel as it was very close to MEN arena, we were going to see the Script Concert. Excellent location as only round the block. Hotel staff were frendly. Breakfast was good. My 12 year old son gave the Sausages, his mark of approval, which is saying something, as his very fussy :) Had a great nights sleep as the bed was sooo comfortable. Enjoyed a nice swim in the pool and relaxed in the steam room. Would definately book here again. I chose this hotel as we were going to a concert at the arena and it is literally across the road. Was very impressed the staff are friendly the rooms are comfortable the bar snacks good and the buffet breakfast excellent. The staff were very helpful and it was only a short walk to the shopping centre. I have stayed in a few city centre hotels this is definately the best and will be staying again in the future. Great service, new hotel with fresh design, clean and very enjoyable. We never had time to enjoy the spa facilities, but heard good things of it. The hotel is very close to the city centre and a simple 5 minute walk would tale you to the heart of manchester. Also very close to the konsert Arena. Breakfast buffèt was good but a bit expensive. The hotel was excellent location to the phones 4 u arena which is where we were going, it is a 5 minute walk. The hotel is very expensive for what it is, ie the spa is basic, no jacuzzi, the pool is small, the rooms are a nice size and the bathrooms are lovely. Breakfast had excellent choice and the reception staff were lovely and polite. My friends and I traveled down from Scotland to Manchester to see Rihanna at the men arena . Hotel was ideal location for parking the arena and shopping . We also used the facilities at the spa and the staff were very friendly . Hotel staff were very attentive . Fab location, we came to Manchester for the Christmas markets and the hotel is really close to exchange square. Everything, we stayed at The Hilton Manchester 2 weeks earlier and the Park Inn was much better, when we did have a complaint (blood on bedding) it was dealt with immediately and efficiently and reception sent us a complimentary drink withing minutes of our complaint call. The overall appearance and standard of the hotel was above my expectations. The only thing that I can fault was that one of the pillow cases on the bed had some dirt on it.. I just removed the cover as I didn't want to complain after the staff being so good with changing our rooms. When first arrived on disabled car park rang the bell to be let in 3 times but nobody answered, not a complaint, was let in by a person staying in the hotel who was going out. Booking in took ages. There always seemed to be long queues. We had to queue twice to book in then again to fetch one of our keys because the rooms were not ready. Rooms were clean but the carpet looked like it could do with a bit of a wash as was off putting seeing stains on there. (spilled drinks etc). Nothing. Restaurant food was disapointing, prices for the spa seemes very expensive. Our bedding was dirty, once advised to reception it was changed, however the bed wasnt made up as it was when we got there. There is no jacuzzi. The spas changing room facilities were too small. No rooms to get changed privately, all put in to bare all in the middle of the room. Had to struggle around the toilet to gain some privacy. No negatives. There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel and we will stay here again!. Obviously the sheets having a stain on them (fresh blood), but everything else was great. Could not fault anything. Had to park car across busy road in multi story has hotel has no car park. Apart from that nothing to complain about. No bath. :-( If I had wanted a good soak I would have missed this a lot...... Open hanging for clothes in the room. For me nothing to dislike. the changing rooms in the spa were freezing, which is a bit picky compared to the rest of the stay, ,. No Wardrobe in room Came with our toddler son Room was too small. Room wasn't ready in time so we had to wait. There was nothing to dislike it was perfect. Lack of toilet roll in the bathroom. Nothing. Nothing. We went down for breakfast about 10.30 and majority of the breakfast buffet was too cold. The price of drinks at the bar were too high. Initially a little difficult to find (we didn't have sat nav) - also a clearer map of the city centre would have been appreciated. Nothing to dislike. front reception like a robot greeted us as first time users of the hotel but no smile with it, it sounded like it was read off a script not very welcoming. N/A. Check in was very slow. Reserved room months prior to going but was asked for more money than on booking form, however booking form was copied by staff and there was no quibble and charged at reservation price. Breakfast not included with price. Breakfast - the food that was available was good but they just weren't getting it out fast enough. Only limited items from the cooked breakfast menu were available at any one time and there were long queues/waits for the missing items - eggs in my case. No free wi-fi. Nothing, hotel was perfect for our stay as we wanted a chilled day before heading to the arena. nothing to dislike although the toilets near the bar were for male and female this seemed unusual walking in a toilet with male and female.
