On arriving at South Kensington tube station, we followed the directions towards Imperial College and after a straight forward check-in we were directed to our room which although small, was absolutely fine. It was immaculate and had plenty of storage space, a comfy bed, fluffy towels, a desk with two bottles of water, a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar and milk. The bathroom was also small but it too was immaculate, and had plenty of storage space as well as providing mini soap's and shampoo's. Once.
all reviews » The location was superb as a base for sightseeing London and shopping (Harrods in walking distance!). Great for families wanting to visit the museums as they are on its doorstep (museums were fantastic!). The rooms although small are modern, clean and have opening windows, and nice ensuite shower. Staff friendly and breakfast menu offered a lot of choice. Everything was in close proximity to bedrooms, (refectory, swimming pool, bar and restaurant). Value for money, could not fault it during o. It was simple to check in/out. The price for the location was excellent. It was extremely clean and although basic (the towels were very white and very fluffy!) had everything that was needed for a city break where you are not there to spend time in your room. It was quiet for it's location - largely pedestrianised around a green tree filled square. London is extremely easy to explore from here and I really don't think you could get better value for money - it makes sense! The breakfast, which. The staff at check in! Of all our accommodations in the uk part of our trip, the staff at Princess Gardens were the most friendly and professional. The location was perfect to visit Kensington and, of course, the next door Victoria and Albert museum. We didn't realize we were staying on the campus of Imperial College until we had a pint and something to eat at the pub full of students in our building. The next morning we ate breakfast at the Senior Commons. It was a great deal for the price. As. Everything was amazing!The location was strategic, the staff was very nice and extra helpful and friendly.They allowed us to leave our luggage in the reception area as we arrived early before the check-in time. They even printed out maps and directions for us to see some of the tourist spots. Breakfast was amazing, eggs, bacon, hash, mushrooms, bread, sausages, cereal, fruit salads, croissat and unlimited coffee and tea to enjoy. They rooms were clean and cosy, really good value for money..A lo. A very good experience. Very close to all major areas of London. Very close to public transport that take you very quickly in to the city center. Hyde Park is close and the main museums are on the same road. The room was basic, but well laid out and still managed to have a very clean and smart look to it. There is also a bar just 25 meters from our room, so having a late drink was welcome. The staff were friendly, informative and efficient. On the whole, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. At the end of the day it is student accommodation in the college halls but the room was very clean with good facilities. Very convenient location close to the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gardens and a stones throw from the museums off Exhibition Road. There are many restaurants and places to buy food down the road. Also not far to walk to tube stations. Breakfast included a good selection from full cooked breakfast, cereals, fruit, croissants etc. Would definitely recommend. Advise anyone to stay here. It's I'd actually student digs but saying that it was very clean and if you have a on suite room it is very clean and cofortable. No tv but hey you are in London. Really good location with museums on your door step. Tube not to far. This place is far better than your hotels in London where you pay £120 plus for a grotty old room. We were staying for a Hyde Park concert, but found the museum were only a couple of minutes away and Buckingham Palace was only about 20 minutes walk. Therefore ended up walking all the way to Westminster. Breakfast - excellent, will fill you up for most of the day. If the weather had been poor it would have been more of a pain to get to where the breakfast was being served (approx 3-4 minute walk away) but this isn't much of a problem - pack a brolly if rain is forecast! For the price I can't complain but it is useful having wifi in a room and this isn't an option but this wouldn't stop me from booking again or recommending to others..... Nothing. We will come back. Nothing, everything was amazing. The only negative was that there wasn't a hair dryer. Took a long time queuing to get checked in as it can accommodate a lot of guests. Check in was at 2pm and a lot of guests had all arrived at the same time. I seriously can't think of anything!. Had to crawl under a desk to plug the kettle in. Not as handy as it could be - extension cable would have been useful! Breakfast (which was delicious, and great choice) was a good 10 minute walk away... Not too pleasant in the rain. Walk to the breakfast room on the main campus. About 5 minutes outside, but ok because it was dry and sunny. I was very happy with everything. Really can't fault it, excellent value for money will be staying again. Would be ideal with TV and more efficient air conditioning. Bed was not very comfortable, too hard. Fire alarm went off at around 23.30 on first night and again at 08.15 next morning. Heard it go off in other buildings too at different times. Seems to be very sensitve - signs in the corridors and rooms warn against leaving bathroom door open when taking a shower as the steam could trigger the alarm (((. lack of TV but we managed without just for one night. Very compact couldn't stay for than two nights without feeling trapped. Nothing. Everything was perfect. For the breakfast you have to walk for 5/7 minutes to the canteen but I liked it!. Small things, nothing major. Breakfast room far from the hotel. No tv in room. (Well, who cares). No hairdryer in room. Everything was good. Great value for money and a different experience to staying in a hotel. I'm afraid the beds were not very comfortable. Adequate, but just a bit hard. The breakfast buffet is very busy and you have to get everything you need in one hit on a tray before you go and find somewhere to sit. Breakfast is average (but included - so can't compliant too much). After the main entrance, suggest better sign to let first-time visitor to know where the card reader for the 2nd door. Breakfast mayhem in student canteen!. We felt rushed, cramped theres no room or time to even choose your breakfast, its like rush hour on the tube. No tables to sit at but huge reserved section and no one there. Claustrophobic is how we would describe it. The scrambled eggs were inedible but the menu choice was great value for money just a shame we didnt have the chance to try it. The key cards no instruction on where to sit them on each door took a while to figure out. Check in - we had to sit on the floor (all seats taken) & wait until 2 pm even though all the staff were ready behind the desks when we got there at 1.30. Could have left luggage but it wasn't secure - people were just walking in & taking their luggage without the labels being checked by staff. nothing. The wifi was a little difficult to get sorted but I eventually [after going to reception 4 times] phoned the providers helpline which was available 9-5 and got it fixed. Couldn't get wifi to work (not a huge issue for one night but after that I would be rather stressed!) Just a note, there is no tv so laptop and wifi are useful. Having said this a fab place to stay. No time to use the swimming pool!. there is nothing to dislike at Princes Gate. Everything was really good, so only tiny things like proper bath mat, everything else great. Missed a hairdryer in the room. For the price, everything ok. The fire drills they do sometimes. nothing.
