Central London, 1 min walk to Underground hub, very nice and accommodating staff, low price, excellent WiFi, one of the cleanest budget hotels I've ever stayed in, prepackaged breakfast could be brought with as lunch, rear-facing room (number 3) very quiet (except for guests/residents upstairs), beautiful new tile in bathroom, fridge (but tiny!), iron & hairdryer, could leave luggage before check- in/after check-out, adjacent to a nice pub and sandwich shop, walking distance to Hyde Park, O.
all reviews » The guy at reception was unbelievably nice and did everything to help. I didn't have my phone charger and was out of battery so he lent me his, plus I had to check out before breakfast so he brought it to me the night before! I was well impressed with his attitude and friendliness. Other than that the place was very clean and excellent value. Also there was loads of stuff nearby and it's right next to Paddington station. The location is spot on, next to Paddington Station, so easy access for transport. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean, cosy, comfortable with brilliant value for money. The hand soap, really that was it. From the somewhat fussy U.S. viewpoint, mind you: Very small rooms and bathroom, shower filled with water while showering, quite clean but carpet smelled bad and mold in shower, tiny tv, one power strip for the whole room (but we were able to charge devices, use hair dryer, etc), huge flight of stairs (but staff helped with bags), room faced out on roof covered with trash (bag of trash, broken tv, etc) but then pretty mews/ivy-covered roofs beyond. the only down side to the hotel is that there is five floors up very steep stairs, the first flight of stairs to reception and then four more up to our room. It is not advisable for people with limited mobility. Space constraint - Very small space in the bathroom Steep, narrow stair case making baggage handling difficult No one to contact at reception during non office hours. Only inconvenience that my phone or tv remote did not work during our stay. We only stayed for five days so it was not a major inconvenience, but we had to run down to the lobby to speak to the consergerie. Narrow stairs, Overheated room i slept with no shirt!!! and finally...The bathroom was a miracle. When sitting on the wc my knees were touching the door.i hardly could turn in there.It is the smallest bathroom on earth seriously.Thin walls as well. The price was a bit steep considering non existent facilities... But well, this is London. Poor cleaning of the room, beds were old and dirty. No options for breakfast, only packed jams and croissants. No lifts. Although this, for the price and the location it's ok. Unconfortable bed. Small uncomfortable bed. Not clean the bathrooms every day , old curtains , in rooms with balcony is too noisy on the street. I don't like those thing: bathroom is not celean and tidy, and breakfast. 87 stairs to my room. bed bugs. The room we had is for 3 persons, but we can see it just put in an extra bed for an original double bed room. So the room is extremely small for 3 persons to live in. We felt very uncomfortable with that. Double flight of stairs to get to desk. All rooms are up at least two flights of stairs, ours was on the fourth floor. No Lift. Rooms too small to swing a gerbil, never mind cat. Bed in alcove with walls either side. Unable to open window as blocked by bed. Overpriced. Cleanliness, food, noise. Breakfast was terrible. I thought the Hotel was terrable. I have never stayed in such a place. I'm so regret to choose this hotel, and can't persuade myself to stay in it. So I keep staying outside and walk around and around. No here anymore. 打死不会再去的地。. Poor value for money as this place effectively a hostel. No response from staff on reporting issues in room. I.e TV not working, sink plug blocked. room too small,bathroom is a horrible experience,heating was switched off in the middle of the night, no hot water during the early morning after 8.00 am.the underground nearby seems like an earthquake,and the sound of traffic is deafining.the curtain was like coming from a horror movie......do i need to add more???. Everything else! Extremely small double room up 7 flights of stairs with no lift and lots of obstructions. No window to open but opposite a busy building site and 100mtrs from A&E so very noisy. Broken queen size bed stuck in a deep alcove and then breakfast delivered on a tray - left outside door, no knock. Do not book this hotel before view the room. I didn't like comfort is some thing that really is missing for more 10 u get another good hotel have a look first. There was only one member of Staff so we had to wait for Him to come, the room lock was broken you could just walk in to the room. The room was also cold and not clean properly. Terrible breakfast.
