I loved the fact that we were placed right at a bus stop (although we didn't use it) and walking distance from two underground stations with 3 tube lines and the busses. The hotel is located in central London so travelling to see the sights was very easy. Restaurants were right arond the corner from the hotel so we didn't have to travel far to eat. There were banks and souveneir shops galore! We also had free wifi so I was able to let relatives in te States know we arrived safely. We traveled.
all reviews » After booking another hotel and to find out it was somebody's house we needed a reasonably priced hotel and somewhere near by the central of london.this was perfect I booked it half hour before arriving and the hotel was fantastic its right near the tube station ans has a bus stop outside.the staff were very friendly and the rooms were lovely.they were very cosey and warm.we had breakfast included with our stay and expected a cooked breakfast however it was toast/cereal however there is plenty . The hotel was in a super-convenient location, close to Bayswater and Queensway stations, the shopping centre and Hyde Park. Although it was a bit run down, it has a fantastic atmosphere, a bit like an old bordello, which it may have been in a past life. The bed was comfy and it was great to be able to open the windows and take in the view of the eighbourhood,. Inverness Terrace is a brilliant spot for budget-friendly hotels with a bit of an edge. It was no problem storing luggage for the day a. Very friendly staff at the front desk and in the breakfast area. Room was clean and presentable and even had a small balcony. It fronted the road but was still quiet for a good night's sleep. Fantastic location to the tube and if you want to walk.... to Hyde Park and then all the sights. Breakfast was included and it was everything you needed to start out the day. Great value for London. Manager was great.very helpful and friendly.room was ready at 12 so we checked in early.hairdryer didn't work but manager had one sent up straightaway.room was small but very clean and a fan was provided as it was a warm weekend.we booked last minute and it was great For tube and Hyde park. Bed was so comfy that we slept in past breakfast so can't comment.would stay again. The staff was kind and professional.the receptionist helped us and kept our luggages even after we checked out for a few hours.in the room we had facilities to make tea and coffee.also breakfast was ok.great value for price even if it was a room in the basement and the window had a view in another room.the room was nice. This is a fabulous budget gem in the city of London. The rooms and bathroom did not smell, were very clean, as were the sheets. It was easily accessible by tube, located in a quiet beautiful road just of the busy main road full of every type of shop and restaurant you would want. Great stay. Location. Hyde slash Kensington Park is two short blocks away. It's half a block from Bayswater station, barely two from Queensway station. Many ethnic restaurants, a large shopping mall and supermarkets are less than five minutes' walk. Altho the breakfast is just cold cereal and toast, the breakfast room is clean and cheery. I think that for the money which we paid the hotel was allright. We did not expect 5 star quality. But I can say that the room size was exactly the same as in 4 and 5 stars hotels))) all bed close was white and clean, towels they did change every morning. In room was normal comfortable temperature. Location - perfect!. Location, location, location! It's not even 2 minutes away from the Bayswater subway station. The price is quite ok for being London and the room is very small but fair enough for two people that want to roam around the whole day and use the room only to sleep. Pretty clean. if you get one of the better rooms it's OK. but furnished in early 70's. don;t expect much. but price is OK for what you get unless busy periods when they jack up the price like all the other hotels. We were able to deal with it, but the hotel has 4 floors including the basement and no elevator. The stair cases were very narrow and with large suitcases we had to take our time. The staff did offer someone to assit though! The two rooms we had (one on the 2nd and one on the 3rd) did not have phones in he room so we did a lot of running up and down to communicate. I had a few minor problems with charging my appliances, but the staff attended to this promptly. The room was tiny but OK for one person. There was a hole in the floorboards next to the shower which was a bit precarious at times. Otherwise, nothing to fret about. Balance the rather ugly décor and the basic bathroom with the price - and you will easily realize that at these prices in London there is nothing you should be complaining about. Small cups for tea hate them! Not sure what full price was but for the £45 we paid was fine. Nothing.we had a pleasant stay. The lack of a lift to the top floor rooms. Not good for Granny. It's not that I didn't like it, but my room was on the 4th floor and there's no lift. Not a problem for me but, if you've any physical restrictions you should let the hotel now when you're booking. Bed was a little uncomfortable. Poor breakfast. Too hot in room, must sleep with open windows - no regulation in hitting. Breakfast could use some extra protein - perhaps a boiled egg. The lack of a lift was tough on my arthritic knees. Restaurant was closed due to renovations. The breakfasts are a little sparse but that's a minor quibble really at the price. Rooms were not spacious. They were very basic. However we were hardly in the room so it was ideal for the time we were there. Not much really. View out the window was rubbish, but so what?! I'll be back!. The room for 4 adult was very small ( size of double room). Breakfast could have had bit more choice. Some fruit would have been nice. Carpet on stairs, no Elevator and old furniture. Too hot in room, got a room on third floor with quite a steep stair to the room. The hotel made a reservation on my VISA even though we paid in cash. Shared bathroom too far from room. Extra charge for credit card. I did not like the rooms, furniture were old. Breakfast was the same every day this can be improved to include some verity at the same cost. The bath room was old, not clean, water pressure was weak and it was small to. The TV and its stand gives a feeling of an old Hotel. The minuscule shower and half bath are bearable, if annoying, but the shoved together beds and the lack of even one chair mean we won't be returning. Brackfast was really poor just bread, solt batter, jam, cheddar cheese, tea and coffe. But 2 min from hotel you can find lots of cafe where you can easy get breakfast for 4,50 per person)))) shower little bit smaller than we expected... Nothing really negative to say. If you are a breakfast gourmet though, you might want to avoid this hotel since it offers a very simple one (milk, juice, coffee or tea, plus marmelade and bread). lack of decent internet. beds, pillows and decor very tired. Breakfast is a very very basic continental. Very little choice. On being told that it was from 7.30 to 9.30 I didn't realise the promptness that this was cleared away - 9.30 on the dot so if you are late getting down make sure you get all the toast that you require before the 9.30 shut down!. Beds were rock solid and woke up with back ache Breakfast was little more than toast and cornflakes. Tiny room. Miniscule shower with no soap holder. Shoddy paintwork, pealing walpaper. Room was so warm, I opened th baloncy door but then as I was on my own didn't feel particularly safe. Toilet made an horrific noise when flushed. UHT milk curdled in my tea Breakfast room was dark and perhaps needed a larger cereal collection. For the first night, carpet was wet seriously but fortunately staff arranged another bigger room. Don't expect very good breakfast but filled tummy!. Housekeeping needs some improvement. Dirty glasses left in the room. Tea saucers not replaced after use. One day the top sheet was missing. Floor mats in the bathroom are needed as the shower curtain is too short and water spills over onto the tiles making them very slippery. The painting on the wall above the bed had a drawing of the devil. Should be replaced. room we've got was different than on the picture in minus. breakfast could be more ,continental, - only toasts, french croissants, butter, hard cheese, jam and milk and cerals - it could me any ham given. however everything was fresh and tasty. The room was old. Bed covers were worn. Poor choice for breakfast. Price. Remember it is a 2 star. No water pressure in the shower, ring in the tub, tight staircases to climb to the third story and abysmal lighting. Overall the hotel was a little shabby. There is a charge using computer for printing an e-boarding card, it should be free as only one page. No bathroom in room or floor level i was staying on.
