I was relocated to the Mayfair apartment as their booking engine double booked at the Sussex Garden apartments ... Having arrived later in the evening from Milan, it was a very pleasant experience dealing with Claire ( or Miss "No Smoking") who made all the arrangements for transfer, was totally professional and reassuring... That alone gets full marks... The apt we got was splendid... Quiet lane and yet just 5 mins walk to Oxford St North and Marble Arch... I would have been happy in the apt .
all reviews » A great central location close to travel facilities. It was clean, a good size with everything needed to look after yourself for any length of time. There was even coffee, tea, sugar and fresh milk provided for us on our arrival. We also enjoyed the fact that our room had a balcony which we could sit on at the end of each long day and chill out with a drink whilst watching the traffic and people pass by. Centrally located, close walk to Paddington station with the Heathrow Express & the underground line, the train station provided vendors of prepared food to eat on the premises or take away, two super markets & a pharmacy... Many shops & pubs in area. The unit was safe,clean, pleasant & well equipped . Very close to beautiful & serene HydePark. The staff very helpful. The room is modern compact living. Washing Machine dryer, oven, hob, dishwasher and fridge. Location bery near to Paddington, Bayswater and Hyde Park which are within walking distance. Check in/ check out seems pretty hassle free. Manage to get baby cot on top of bed and sofa bed. For a stay more than 3 nights you will fully utilised the facilities in the apartment. Free wifi. The apartments were well equiped, clean, enough space for clothes in the wardrobe, we were on the 4th floor at the back in a premier studio,and very quiet at night, it was just right for two of us, for three nights, the reception was perfect during the day, however the night man was nonchalont, would recommend,it highly.apart from one niggle. First of all I was moved to another location of Go native. As a rule this is a very unpleasant situation but in my case apartments at the Devonshire street were even better and good central location anyway. The studio was large enough for one person, all sorts of facilities, nice bed with warm blanket and lots of pillows. Comfortable room fully equipped and pleasantly designed. Compaired to a hote room you get more space, kitchenette and more facilities in room. location is right between Paddington station and the Hyde Park. 3 min walk from the station and a bunch of underground lines. Very nice design of the room- white with wood, all need facilities and coffee tea sugar, all dishes, electric stove, fridge, kettle pans. The apartments are also close to lots of restaurants and Hyde Park, which houses Kensington Palace. Very nice, clean, new, modern apartment in an excellent location. Good staff. I have stayed in many apartments in London on previous trips and this is the best so far. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip. The facilities in the rooms were great - having tea, coffee and milk in the fridge, free wifi, great products in the bathroom and we were able to park our car. Cheaper alternatives are available, but the quality & service we found at Go Native was worth the extra few dollars. For some odd reason, no microwave and freezer in the fridge. No parking if you plan to bring car, and nearest parking in Paddington Station. They already mentioned no parking at the time of booking. As many have said before me the bed was far toooo small, that is the only complaint, that would put me off going back there, as you need a good bed above all. I don't think that it is acceptable at all to book a place and after arrive find out that it's not available. Late check-in and early check-out. Many of the room face the street and are very noisy. I had some trouble getting a quiet room which eventually i did. Our room had a double bed which was a bit to small and we aren't big people. Would have preferred option of a cleaner once every 2 days. Non-smoking, but next door apartment smelt of cigarette smoke. 10 am check out. Double bed is about the size of an American full-size, quite small for two full-size adults, no other bed option exists. The wife ended up sleeping on the floor due to the lack of space. No air conditioning. We were in London during the heat wave!. The room really smelt of cigarettes and we don't smoke - even with the windows open the smell didn't go. We also had problems with our bedroom door not closing so when we got back from our function late and just wanted to go to bed we couldn't as we had to wait while it was fixed. nothing!. The nearest shops at late hours are in front of the tube station. I suppose the apartment people can't do much about it. Very noisy location close to busy Lancaster Gate road junction; no air conditioning so lots of traffic noise if you open a window; no bar or restaurant (but plenty iof other eating places nearby). Leaving! Shame to come home!. fire alarm ring at 6:30 in the morning but i think it was a random error. I was in a Premium studio apartment for 5 days overlooking the garden which while a nice outlook was extremely noisy with incessant traffic and sirens. Ask for a back room which is apparently quieter. If I was being very picky it would be the parking but then it is central London. What can be bad for this kind of money in London ?. The apartment was NOTHING like what I had booked the bedroom was so small you could not walk either side of the bed a pain getting in and out of bed The appliances had NO MANUALS on how to use them I stuggled so I had to ask reception who had none at hand so they had to get manuals from other rooms then came back for them for other customers The shower leaked flooding the bathroom To early check out so not happy with apartment for the money I had paid as i have had cheaper better and bigger. Nothing. The minor downside was a bulb out in the kitchen which couldn't be fixed until the next day - wasn't a big issue as I didn't need to use the cooking facilities that evening. not that i did not really like it, i would have however loved that it was cleaned on a daily basis. My apartment did not have reading lights by the bed. This is one of the most basic features of hotels, something even found in cheap pensions in rural Spain. I was stunned that it wasn't there. Instead there were some red globes that don't produce enough light to read or to do anything but look vaguely pretty. Horrible, nonfunctional, design. Traffic noise was significant except in the middle of the night. We had expected twin beds in one of the bedrooms for our two boys to sleep in, but both rooms had double beds. Not the end of the world but not ideal. A minor point. The rooms don't have air conditioning and got quite hot. We had the windows open fully and that was fine. noisy! especially the ground floor rooms we had which faced the street. Biggest problem was that the three rooms we had weren't next to one another as we had requested when we made the reservarions, and confirmed with Karl Ng... fortunately the on-site staff were very helpful and rectified the situation as best they could over a busy holiday weekend. Front rooms are very noisy, ideally should be double glazed or otherwise noise insulated. Staff smoking area is in front of the building downstairs and smoke consistently enters via open windows. Rather dark around kitchen, needs better lighting as everything was black. No Hot water for a shower. Seemed to be having problems with hot water systems which wss rather disappointing. The duplex roof is low, if I was two inch higher I was going to hit it. No bedside drawers just small low tables. The second room we had which had 3 adults sharing was alot smaller but the same price, think it should be cheaper. Bed very uncomfortable. the very small bed. they need more lifts, two are not, enough, I guess its a bit over priced. The bed was too small and quite uncomfortable. The cleaner was still cleaning when we arrived in our room, and so waited for her to leave. The chairs are very hard and quite uncomfortable. Check-in process is a bit tedious. The bed is way too small. Shower access - water all over the floor Monday fire alarm test was not informed @ check in, and it goes on very easily (I.E. using the toaster), might imply in losing credibility. I would have liked an option of daily serviced rooms, even at an extra charge. the apartment is much smaller than the photos, very noisy road. No cleaning of room Please observe this is actually an apartment building, normally preferring week lease or longer doubling as "hotel" durin low season. None!. Didnt have oven in the kitchen Didnt have salt and pepper Must check out before 10am, which is too early. Check out time being 1000!.
