We stayed here whilst my husband ran the London marathon and the location was perfect! (A minute walk from mile 25!). We only booked a basic small double, but it was large enough, very clean, the bed was amazing, the bar very stylish and although we were at the back of the hotel....which may be for the more basic rooms (and our view was of other buildings), it was absolutely peaceful at night! We slept with our window open and we couldn't believe we were in central London! We have already booke.
all reviews » Club Quarters is a brilliant choice to make if you are in the city for a short time and want to take in as much as you can. The location is superb. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. Free WiFi ( worked beautifully ) made our lives easier....charting routes, train timings, directions etc etc. The staff were very helpful and courteous. Simply loved the chilled water outlet and the Guest Services cupboard available for guests . a very thoughtful gesture by the hotel and much apprecia. You can't do much better for a central location in London, without spending silly money. This is just off Trafalgar Square. It's very well situated for all sorts of theatres in Leicester Square, Charing Cross Road, St Martin's Lane, Whitehall and Northumberland Avenue itself. The rooms have proper lights (they need them, because the windows are small). The reception and restaurant/bar staff are very good. I wouldn't normally use the hotel restaurant in an area with so many other options,. I stayed at Club Quarters whilst I went to see the show 'The Bodyguard' at the Adelphi Theatre. The hotel has an excellent location, the facilities were good, the reception staff were very polite and professional. The room was reasonably spacious (for London), supplied with tea & coffee making facilities, with 26" LED TV, clock radio (not the ipod dock as indicated in letsbookhotel.com - but not an issue). The en-suite had only shower facilities, looked clean, and well maintained. In summa. Very close proximity to Trafalgar Square, so within very easy walking distance from either Charing Cross or Embankment stations. Our room overlooked a busy road, but we weren't bothered with noise at all. We had a very nice double plus a single sofa bed which was really comfy! Great facilities, hot water all the time and the kitchenette meant we had a fridge and tea making. We would definitely return and can recommend to others. We didn't eat or drink at the hotel, but there are plenty of . Our second time here and yet again the staff were amazing (many thanks to Prashant!). The bed was very very comfortable and the location is top notch! Last time it was for the London Marathon, this time a theatre trip/ birthday. Why stay anywhere else? My only recommendation is that if you want a quiet night, ask for a room at the rear of the building (it is unbelievably so peaceful), but this time we had a room at the front, and it was only noisy because it was a Saturday night and we slept wi. The location is perfect for visiting central London, easy access to all the main attractions and surrounded by every type of restaurant you could imagine. The staff are friendly and attentive and they seem to have thought of everything, even an umbrella available in the room for guest use. Filtered water and ice on tap and easy access to top ups for tea and coffee. The free WiFi has a good bandwidth. The shower was brilliant with plenty of room to move around in a real marble shower space. . The hotel lobby was gorgeous, location was perfect to the tube and all the attractions like Big Ben, London Eye, British muse within close walking distance. Tons of restaurants and pubs nearby.We liked Sherlock Holmes across the street for drinks, Garfunkels a few doors down for reasonable breakfast, lunch.The bottled water on the floor was a nice feature.Printer available free of charge, breakfast was excellent. The staff was very accomodating, helping with everything we needed. Loved that it was so easy to get to from Heathrow. We went to Embankment stop which was only few minutes walk to Club Quarters but on the way back we walked extra 5 mins to Picadilly circus so went direct to heathrow. Loved it was so near -few mins- to Trafalgar Square, Jubilee Bridge, London Eye (10 mins over the bridge) Picadilly, regent street - very convenient and we always felt we were in a safe area. Also plenty local cafes for breakfast and a Tesco express 2 doors away. The location just off of Trafalgar Square was within walking distance to most of London's attractions ie: The Eye, Buckingham Palace, Horse Guard, Piccadilly Circus, Thames Boat rides, St Paul's Cathedral, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. That is what we were trying to achieve, having a friend with us who has never been to London got to see london's highlights! Boyd's Restaurant was great! Fresh bottled water on our floor was a very nice touch too. The rooms were perfect, and even the small double room is not small at all! Very stylish and clean. Everything available in room or on floor cupboard. Tv channels were great as husband enjoyed the sports! Toilets were lovely and shower nice and wide. Above all staff were exceptional; super friendly and helpful, cater to all needs and really made tge stay every bit more enjoyable. Top hotel and staff will certainly stay there again. The position of this hotel is very converence and condition is quite nice, as well as the price is not as high as its quality. we were 3 ladies on a girly weekend which we have been doing for a number of years, we did stay at the hotel in the early days before the refurbishment, and I must stay it has improved 100%. Room was ready for us on arrival which was a bonus as we arrived in the morning about 11am. Would stay their again without hesitation. Receptionist made us feel very welcome. We have already recommended this hotel to friends and family. All the previous reviews talking about the good location were absolutely right , minuets walking from Chairing Cross tube station , Embankment station , London eye , Big Ben , Trafalgar Square and a lot of cafés & restaurants around , Great welcoming staff , very clean rooms & hall ways. Tidy, clean and value for money. Staff are friendly. They have a lobby for customers to stay a while before check-in or after check-out. Wifi is good as well. Location is very near to Charing Cross Station and convenient for travelling around for shopping or sight seeing. Situation of hotel excellent. The location is literally across the road from where I was working all weekend, so location was great, but the hotel itself is really great, good ambience, very nice room with all the kit, generally it made a tough weekend somewhat better!. The saying is "location, location, location. Just 100 metres from Trafalgar Sq. Our room was terrific. The staff were extra helpful. An ideal place to stay. Brilliant Location with a fantastic bar, the rooms are modern and clean. The price is reasonable as are the brasserie prices compared to nearby restaurants. There was nothing not to like. As with quite a few London hotels, the lifts are pretty slow. The rooms are much less stuffy than some, but I still had the air-conditioning on most of the time and that is pretty noisy. You get two tea-bags and two milk sachets with the kettle. That seems pretty stingy. Its not a complaint nor a dislike, however, others may face the same issue. The card key used to operate the room look was temperamental with its operation - it opened, but it took a few tweaks. No issues with key operated elevators. we couldn't stay longer!!!!. Aircon was noisy and pretty ineffective. They seemed understaffed. The staff was very professional and pleasant but were always busy at the tiny reception desk for the amount of volume they do. They need a much bigger reception area and more staff to accomodate the number of guests they serve. Felt at €650 for 2 nights was a bit expensive (I know its London!) and maybe could have included breakfast. But as it was our first visit to London I was happier to have central location rather than cheap hotel. Our kitchenette room for three was not up to our expectations. The advertized room implied a bit of privacy for the third person, but that was not the case. The room was quite small, The kitchenette light didn't work and the cutlery was sparse. There wasn't a safe in the room, but was available behind the front desk. Absolutely nothing. Wifi was slow - internet was down when I need to prebook my flight home and could not print my boarding pass as a result. This was disappointing. Housekeeping was a little late in cleaning our room and failed to pick up bar glasses from the lounge for the four days I was there. These are minor details but note worthy,. The only thing that disturbed me was the luggage handling ( when I checked in & out ) very very very slow. Nothing really bad. Stayed in room 501 on the 5th floor, Northumberland side. In-room climate control did not functioned well. The heater is set too hot even though we are from the hot country. We have to open window during the night to cool down the room. Secondly, Housekeeping staff is not so response to standard requests e.g. additional hand towel, additional spoon and forks. On the Sunday, a staff member asked on our behalf to clean our room but it didn't happen. I guess the £18 for breakfast wasnt ideal so I went elsewhere. Fancied a coffee in the bar area - machine out of order. Nothing at all!!. The staff were not very friendly when we arrived late at night from a day of traveling. They never greeted us when we came or went. On our last day we did have a very nice gentleman who held our bags for us until we were ready to leave. A small point - but the reception area could be more welcoming. The check- in desk was rather like a cloakroom or lost property office! But the staff were excellent. Nothing. Rooms and bathroms are quite small, however very good for the price. Nothing. we just wished it was cheaper :). In-house prices for refreshments, especially drinks were excessive. Recommend that you get the "nightcap" before returning. There did not seem to be any cooperation with or concessions for local parking facilities. What's not to like at this hotel?. No mini bar for double rooms. the Superior Room with Kitchenette has a fridge (as well as Kitchenette) Soundproofing (or the lack of). You can hear a lot of noise coming from the room above. 1. Rather cramped for 4 adults and 1 child. Breakfast is expensive and it is said not be good, so we decided to have it outside the hotel. The room was clear enough in general, but i noticed that just beds were made, but no vacuum cleaning was done and garbage was not thrown away. The rooms were a little on the warm side of comfort. While it is a very good hotel most of the price can only be justified by the great location. Don't expect any luxury. Shower cabin could be better. That said, I do recommend it . Bathroom a bit small for a 3 person room. As with most hotels there is rarely a mirror located near a plug socket which makes using a hairdryer difficult. Nothing. Everything was just right for us - tourists. Bed was a bit uncomfortable as were the pillows but i am a poor sleeper until I adjust to my surroundings.
