  Location is excellent with loads of buses into the city centre but the local bars and restaurants in Leith offer a huge choice, plus the new shopping centre is only yards away from the front door of the hotel. It wasn't obvious that a buffet breakfast was included when I booked so this was a nice surprise too. The dog was welcome too, at no extra ... what people say » cost. Excellent value. - I first booked at the Waterfront but found out that there was one closer to the city center when I reached Edinburgh and managed to change the booking. I was lucky they had rooms available and for the same price as well. Its called Express By Holiday Inn City Center.

On our arrival, seeing my husband had a disability our room was immediately changed to a first floor room from a second floor room, without even asking.   The owner was so friendly and really made you feel at home. Breakfast was lovely, more than I could eat, and when we needed to be up and out early on Sunday, he was happy to bring breakfast forward for us. Instant coffee powder and milk generously supplied and replenished. In easy reach of centre, with necessities shopping, pubs and eateries nearby. Sufficient public parking space, bus stop a few meters away. Not exactly cheap in overall terms, but good value for Edinburgh (sigh).

They went above and beyond to help us with our trip and to make sure we were comfortable with our stay. The breakfasts were great and they even made other guest's meals that weren't even on the menu!! They both work really hard and long hours and always have a smile on their faces. They made the start of our trip to Edinburgh.
