The owner was so friendly and really made you feel at home. Breakfast was lovely, more than I could eat, and when we needed to be up and out early on Sunday, he was happy to bring breakfast forward for us. The house is absolutely gorgeous, amazing staircase and beautiful breakfast room with curved wall. Great use of colour in the house and great prints and drawings everywhere. Sufficient public parking space, bus stop a few meters away. Not exactly cheap in overall terms, but good value for Edinburgh (sigh). Room was large and comfortable with en suite, both very clean. Breakfast was excellent...the usual english breakfast. Bill was a great host. We would highly recommend this guest house to all. Very quite neighbourhood, that you forget you are in such a big city. Just few minutes walk from all the main street and attractions. Bill is such a wonderfully friendly and welcoming host. He even put a birthday candle in my scrambled egg, for my birthday whilst there :) The house is beatutiful; warm, clean, cozy, absolutley fabulous.
