A lovely apartment (Haddington Place), which despite being on a very busy corner is quiet (esp. in the bedrooms) with loads of light. The lady who checked us in (Fiona?) was very pleasant and helpful - good restaurant and shopping suggestions, and handled the fact that the en-suite bathroom was unavailable due to a leak they couldn't find by providing a good discount. Excellent location for everything (bus stops are about two blocks up, so no loitering near-by). Linens provided were very nice. . all reviews »
There's nothing to complain about this beautiful modern, spacious
apartment. We travelled with our 25 yr old daughter. Location was
excellent. Nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
It's about a 20 minute walk to Princes Street. We did not mind.
There are buses going that way every 10 mins. Apartment had a nice
homely feel with a lovely private garden which we enjoyed. Much better
than living in an hotel room. I would definitely recommend this
apartment.
The location of the flat in the town centre and next door to the castle was fantastic!
The booking team were very helpful and flexible in terms of arrival time and departure time (albeit for a slight additional cost).
The accommodation was very comfortable and homely which made our trip hugely enjoyable and relaxing.

The apartment was absolutely fantastic! Massive and beautifully furnished and decorated- maintaining many of the original features but including modern luxuries . Fantastic location, spectacular views of the city and castle!! Can't wait to go again!.
Beautiful style and quality. Luxurious and large. Fantastic location. Very cold winter, but always cosy and very warm inside. The dining room was stunning and the views privileged. My son particularly appreciated the PS3! Would like to own it ...
Everything was perfect, the appartment was a lot nicer than expected. location was great, specially for the start of the Edinburgh Marathon... my family and I had a great stay and would definatly come back again.
Well located, spacious, large bathroom, fully appointed with kitchen, lounge and laundry, easy access to the International Conference Centre and easy walk to town, castle, Grassmarket, etc.
We were upgraded to a huge appt. In an amazing location. It was well
equipped and stunning. We checked in with ease, the keys were waiting
for us. Bedding was lovely quality too.

Check-in location is not an easy walk from Waverly station with luggage in tow, and the opposite direction of the apartment (we took a cab to the apartment for about £8). En-suite bathroom wasn't available (but see 'positives'). In need of some mirrors hung at a lower level, or a full-length - my mother had a difficult time 'dressing'.
Only request is that the owner provides a hair dryer.
Not enough crockery, nor cutlery. More kitchen equipment needed. Parking was a headache, as we couldn't park near the apartment and we had to drive around looking for bays which were not permit parking ...

Because the appt. Was very historic, a few minor things were tired, ie
blinds and Windows needed repair (the bathroom one didn't open)
carpet was stained in places. Only minor things, we loved the place.
I never saw that the apartment is not located where the check in and reception is so the location of the apartment is a fair 15-20mins walk from the centre.
You have to pick up the keys on the opposite side of the town (1.5 mile away). Internet (dsl) only worked in the kitchen was and very spotty.

The address of the apartment was received only after when got the keys from the office. The original address received during the booking was not the right one.
Had 2 double beds, would have preferred 2 single beds for the kids. Was further from the city than we thought about 20 mins walk.
No hot water for length of stay; not enough cutlery or crockery for more than one meal.

I did not quite realise that the apartment was such a long way off the address given on the website. It is not clear that the apartment you book may be anywhere!.
plug in bath leaked to such an extent that bath was unusable which meant one shower between eight people
had to store cases at key collection venue.

cars parked outside door. Got messed around by the agent who tried to bump us.

Heating is fine but the settings for the hot water is a bit annoying.
No walk in wine cellar (as advertised,) just a glass door left in the
kitchen. Rubbish left to pile up outside kitchen window. Very few bowls,
serving dishes, cooking utensils etc. Loo seat fell off.
The windows needed cleaning, the immersion heater in one of the bedrooms was very noisy. Most of the lightbulbs in the kitchen needed replacing. There was no teapot!.
