The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The bar and food are available 24-7 (unlike many hotels I have stayed in). The location is excellent and I had a nice view of the river Avon. The room was excellent: really spacious and clean with tea and coffee making facilities available. I was put in a disabled access room so the bathroom was large with a lovely big shower. Shower power was really good and hot water readily available. The room was so quiet (I stayed midweek) and it was.

The location of this hotel was close to the Temple Mead Station for rail travelers and connects to several bus routes. IT was very quite and again, staff were approachable and helpful. Great place to stay for families, business, or mature couples. Love the hotel. Modern, light, airy, air con. Good facilities, very comfortable bed. Very practical all facilities incl TV. Food we needed was not much, but what we had was fine. The surprise of just how good it was for a budget hotel. Just not able to fault it on anything and that is unusual for hotels of any price. Could recommend it, will definitely use it again a great find for us for many reasons. Rosia's service was really excellent. I had booked a room with the intention that I would be able to access subtitles on the TV in my hotel room. This unfortunately was not the case but Rosia's service towards this issue was truly something that I could not criticise at all. I was very impressed with her. Very impressed. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.....very helpful and went the extra mile, esp blonde lady (with specs) managing bar on Sat evg 19 Oct, and new barman (Luke?) evg of the 20th. The man on reception could not be more helpful when he realised that there were overbooking and no room for me!! He looked after me while also finding me another place to stay. It took a while but he did it, organised taxis for my journey there and back to the center of Bristol in the morning. Everything but the food. The food wHich was a sandwich was below usual standards. It was meant to be a toastie. But it wasn't toasted, it was dry. No choice of white or brown bread. They used turkey ham which I despise. But apart from that....great hospitality!. Excellent location (could hardly be closer to Bristol Temple Meads railway station) which was a must for my early start on the Saturday morning. Room was a good size, although mine didn't have a view but it was very quiet Staff were all very pleasant. I liked the friendly and helpful attutude of the staff. I liked that even when I'd checked out I was able to leave my baggage there safely and did not feel pressured to collect it before it was needed. Oh I liked the chocolate rabbits at the check out. Thumbs up for the functionality of the room!!! Shower screen really keeps the water within the shower area. Great flow of water and nice temperature control. There were to few TV channels. I prefer baths to showers. Will be great if a hand towel is provided. Nothing to report here. Plastic teaspoons in bedroom! Broke when stirring tea! And perhaps a toilet brush near WC would be a good idea. It was difficult to find by car although I thought the local car park was fine. A map on your website showing how to reach the hotel by road would be useful. Nothing really Ibis is a brand and you always seem to get the same standard. Location in redevelopment site, no buses, bit of a long walk to shopping and attractions we wanted to visit, luggage charge, Staff shortage at bar on Friday night (but was behind party who had ordered food). Though the breakfast was not included in the room price, I had it on one of the mornings and it was just ok. Could have been much better. But that does not matter. The breakfast was awful As a vegatarian the only choose was cold baked beans. No mushrooms or tomatoes. I do not like egg. One lady took the lot of the brown crusty bread. The toaster was not working. Not worth £7.95. Tiny things...like there being no remote for the TV, but, the night I had? I really couldn't care less about the TV. I did however spend £10 on what was obviously a Chicago Town Stuffed Crust pizza...bit much for what it was. Limited choice of menu at breakfast and much of the "hot food" was only luke-warm. I found a wider range of hot food items at cheaper price on Temple Meads Station. Not enough scrambled eggs available when we came down to breakfast around 9am. Guests smoking on the entrance steps. Only one small bin in total ( in the bathroom). Not much. Early close of hotel bar-although 12 is late, because of my plans I would get back just after that time. The parking was charged as an extra in a pay car park. nothing to dislike. The surrounding area was mostly office building with little options for eating out. The hotel had some staffing issues hence there limited availability from the food menu. This was explained and we were ok. The TV in the room was very slow to react. The full length mirror would be better if it were located in the centre of the room. There was a big mess in front of the hotel. It was disgusting. there was nothing that i didn't like, just one thing i thought was a let down, only a small one was the size of the TV and the available channels. A little tricky to find - better on line map would be helpful as Lyon need to leave the station through the side entrance by the motor cycle shed not the main station road. Nothing to not like. wifi facilities could have been better. I had the back yard view of the train tracks which wasn't pleasant to look at. Food menu fairly basic - not a lot of healthy choices. Always struggle with the door keys! That appears to be in any hotel. I was disappointed that the coffee and sugar weren't replenished for my second night (and a small packet of biscuits would have been a welcome touch). A 'welcome to Bristol' street map would also have been useful. The bathroom felt a bit like a portable room, was quite small.
