Stayed 18-20th July 2013 room 210. Had a great stay here. Arrived a bit early at 12.30 but there was a room ready so we could check in. The parking is right next door in the NCP multistorey carpark. Unfortunately the carpark lifts are out of action but that's NCP's fault. The hotel validate your parking ticket so it only costs £12.50 /day. The room was plenty big enough, 2 double beds, view of trees outside. Being room 210 it was on second floor, maybe the higher floors had a better view but w.

My husband and I stayed with our granddaughters aged 3 and 7) We walked through the door to be greeted with mince pies and mulled wine and a friendly and festive welcome to us and our grandchildren. The member of staff who checked us in understood our needs (my husband is disabled) and those of our grandchildren and put herself out to ensure these needs were met. The hotel was busy but we felt we were treated as if we were the only guests. We expect Mariott's to be comfortable and clean,. Everything about this Marriot Hotel in Cabot Circus I like. Staffs , spotless rooms , nice comfortable beds and balcony. The "LOCATION SUPERB" only 3minutes walking to Cabot Circus Shopping , 5 - 6mins to Bristol Temple Meads Station , bus coach station 5minutes by car. I like the food and breakfast. As a Member I really enjoy my stay at Marriot Hotel in Cabot Circus. If this Hotel was like apart-hotel I would live there for long time as I really like the hotel and location. When u check out u . A real gem, the location is perfect. There was plenty of staff in all areas of the hotel, including the dining area. The room was extremely clean. I like the little touch of a small note from the lady who cleans the room to say if you need anything let her know. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. As it was very hot weather the hotel had set up an area in reception for self service ice cold water with lemons. Lovely idea. Wonderful hotel , I will be back. Pretty faultless. Marriott beds are the most comfortable of any hotel chain worldwide. No doubt at all. Unquestionable. £20 upgrade to exec lounge was a steal, an absolute bargain. Staff extremely polite and obliging. Phil on front desk is a perfect example of how customer service should be implemented. He is truly a great credit to the hotel. Breakfast great too. Location is excellent to see the city, and room was comfortable although a tad small. All in all we had an enjoyable stay. Breakfast was okay but the bacon was quite fatty and it didn't seem to have quite the selection it used to from staying here previously, and bar service was quite slow even with only a few guests. I requested a quiet room because I'd read reviews about traffic noise and the Reception staff were helpful in providing a quiet room. Decor was good and the Queen sized bed was comfortable. We had everything we needed. We only ate breakfast in the hotel - there was plenty of choice and the hot food was hot. Loved the hotel, great for the weekend. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly everywhere in the hotel especially in the resturant and at reception. The room was nice & clean. The breakfasts were amazing, and there was plenty of choice. It was a stone's through from Cabot Circus which has all the shops & restaurants. My son loved the pool. I liked the fact that there was a Beauty Room, and made good use of it for some pre-wedding touches. We had a lovely trip for my Daughters Hen Week-end but was disappointed when charged £40 extra for 2 nights to change to a twin room as opposed to ta double bed room , when we thought we had a twin room. I was unhappy with this charge especially as some of our party did not incur this charge. Really friendly and helpful staff, very relaxed and trendy atmosphere but still very professional. Very clean, great facilities, bed was extremely comfortable. I was offered a choice of rooms with various views. Room service was really great, good value for money. No hassles at all. This Hotel was spotless and the staff were very polite. We could not fault anything in the hotel and had a fantastic weekend break for my husband's 40th Birthday. I loved the rooms especially the comfortable beds , and the breakfast is delicious and also loved the two twin big beds since I stayed with my two teenagers we easily fitted in one room and also loved the view from the room . The location is superb, right in the shopping area near to the Cabot Shopping Centre. Nice big room, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not too bad at all either. Bathroom a little tired, cracked sink (room 930) and mouldy sealant around the bath.. Sliding wardrobe doors were faulty and ifficult to operate. Although you get a discount on parking I still thought it was very expensive so many hotels offer free parking now I'm sure the Marriott could do better with this £25 for two nights parking is ridiculous. After we stayed here we went immediately to london where with the same set up different hotel the parking was half the price. My only real gripe though everything else I was fairly happy with apart from the ice machine on floor 3 which was useless. Hotel is in the middle of the city with lots of traffic and the double glazed windows don't shut out the sound completely. Air conditioning wasn't very effective - we managed but air conditioning does need to be improved. The floor we stayed on was very noisy due to lots of young guests. We struggled to sleep through both nights because of it. We booked 3 quad rooms with a preference for 2 queen/double beds. I was given a room with one bed to share with my 9 year old son, and told I would have to pay to upgrade. Breakfast prices were a little steep as was the general accommodation price. Parking agreement with NCP was fine but I believe guests should be able to park in hotels where they are resident for free. Hotel chain was a little too keen to put on a credit card surcharge for potential costs occurred without providing an explanation to the customer. I would have liked the receptionist we spoke to in the morning of departure to have been a bit more knowledgeable about what was going on ~ as it was Easter Sunday. We returned home after a brief drive around the City, thinking there was nothing open, only to discover that we missed the chocolate festival which was disappointing. Our sleep was disturbed during the night by the activation of the lift. There were 3 lifts alongside each other and the middle one appeared to need servicing. Hence there was an annoying noise each time it was called and this was heard distinctly in our room - and I do not have the best of hearing. that the hot tub or jacuzzi was not functioning. Can't fault anything. It was all perfect. The beds were a little soft. Breakfast busy!. None. In-room wi-fi was charged for, while wi-fi in the bar was free! Makes no sense, since people in the bar are not necessarily even customers. Not a thing. I didnt think the bar area was very inviting and was quite cold with little atmosphere. Having to pay for parking in the NCP car park next door although there was a discount for hotel guests. Nothing at all. So good that I will make this place my first choice in Bristol in future. Parking very expensive;. Heating in room was from a reverse air con unit.....very noisy so couldn't use at night. Small children in the jacuzzi.. Dining area (breakfast) a bit shabby Shower not effective. The parking situation,. The heater fan is a bit noisy. Our cabbie which was called by the desk did not know our well-known destination and dropped us off several blocks away from it (We did not know it either.). Spa needs upgrading. Paid intenet connection and very expensive!. Bar prices thats all. Dreadful corporate decor, and confusing instructions for the refrigerator in the room. Pool was a bit tired; Jacuzzi very cold. Very noisy fan made hard to sleep and bed had springs poking into me. (think you should remove the bed menu or get new mattresses. Nothing. Breakfast a bit overpriced. Bedroom was clean but not hovered every day.
