Me and my husband came to Hacketts York House on Valentines day 2014. What a lovely, enjoyable time we had, so glad we booked here. The staff are so friendly, chatty and helpful. On arrival we were first greeted by 2 friendly members of staff in a bright, airy reception area. We were shown to our seats and introduced to a friendly waitress called Kim, a very polite young lady who provided us with excellent service and made sure all our needs were met. Thanks Kim. The food was very well presented.

The food was very well presented. I have been to Blackpool every year for the past 17 years ( sometimes 2/3 times per year). This is the 1St time I have stayed at Hacketts York House. I will certainly return. It was value for money with good food and entertainment. The meal times were suitable for my personal plans. The staff were very helpfull. As a Solo Traveller I was allocated an Individual Table for my meals. As a Solo Traveller they did not charge a Single Supplement. Booking through letsbookhotel.com there was free cance. I cannot tell you as our booking was cancelled, the reason given was that the heating was non functional. They did book us into the Chequers Plaza Hotel, one block away. Overall all was fine, kids took over one was scared to walk as they could run you over, as they did not walk allways ran. We all had a great time and will be back soon. If they will have us. 24 hour bar and breakfast was good to. The staff were excellent and the room and food were good. Staff were friendly and approachable. Staff friendly & helpful.Food good Entertainment fine.Good having TV in the lounge as everyone could not get in the main part.. the staff were fairly helpful asked to move room as our window did not open fully (which on the warmest night of the year was not good) could not move us but supplied us with a fan which was helpful. Liked location and nothing else. Some of the staff were very nice but not all. the veiw clean linen. Not alot. Location of the hotel was good. Connectivity with public transport.Nothing. Nothing. The hotel where we were transferred to, it was too warm but the hotel and management were very good. We wanted to book dinner in the hotel but that was not available, we had to go out for dinner and I got a chill in the body and was unable to stay because I needed my doctor and had to drive home for the necessary relief and medication. So, in answer to a number of your questions, they are unanswerable. The lift breaking down, promises of on there way to fix it, then ordering parts, frankly I was surprised there are still parts to be found for it, most people could not possibly go up 3 flights for some without being injured, my friend who is nearly 90 and partially blind found it almost impossible. As for changing rooms for one night, not knowing if it is going to be freezing there,what a upheavel. Nothing. Nothing. Sea view room needed updating Not as shown on PC. TV old and did not work properly. 2nd morning had to wait half hour for breakfast to be served. Did not like the fact that we had no shower in the room and that the room was quite small and in need of upgrading. Breakfast poor. No organisation. Was told to sit in one place by the organiser then shouted at by another member of staff for sitting in the wrong place! Room very poor... decor room a little run down limited tea and coffee 1 little bar of soap no shower gel breakfast seating was not explained so caused embarrassment. Most of it Unclean. - Cleanliness - Not good to reside with family - very foul smell in entire hotel property.
