1.The location is excellent: in the very center of the historic part of the city - Sultanahmet; 2. walking distance to all main sites of interest: Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Galata bridge, piers - 5-7 min along the tram line, Bayazid II Mosque, the Grand Bazaar - 15 min walk, Suleymanie Mosque - 20-25 min. 3. Tram station Gulhane is just around the corner. So you can get to the airport by tram and metro (take tram till the Zeitinburnu station, then change to metro till Airport), it will take .

You can find Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, Galata Bridge, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Gulhane park and lots of others sightseeings in the walking distance. Also, you can find the tram line right outside the hotel. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby won't let you die starving. Fast wifi connection. And you get all this for a very fair price. Location, location, location! If you can put up with the things I list in the 'bad' section then this place is worth every Turkish Lira. Those looking for comfort should book the Four Seasons, those looking to get amongst it in Old City Istanbul (close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bizzare, Topkapi Palace, the pier, and easy trams to anywhere) should book here. The staff are lovely and helpful. If you are looking for a budget hotel or if you are a backpacker this would be the best place to stay. All the tourist attractions are in the vicinity and the tram station is just 100 mts away. The breakfast was good. As a backpacker I wont mind to stay there again. The window of the room we lived in faced the wall of the neibour building. 2. the breakfast includes: yogurt and 4 types of jam, boiled eggs, several types of cheese, sausage, bread, butter, honey, some turkish sweets, tea and instant coffee. the food was fresh but the choice is rather poor and is the same every day. From the 1st floor we can hear the noise, as tv coming from the ground floor. I don't know, really. There were little problems butt all of them were resolved by the stuff. Communication needs some improvement. Twice the water was closed off and they didn't warn us and let us find out for ourselves. It would also be a good idea to wait with closing off the water until after breakfast when the guests are out. poor lighting on the stairs. just one channel in tv: teleshopping...no news channel. The drain in the bathroom floor emitted an unpleasant smell but I put a book over it and it was fine. Location was a little bit difficult to find and hotel was quite noisy, but hey, thats istanbul!!. Rooms were quite small and very steep stairs to upper floors. No lift. No Lift. Its hard for family who bring child to climb the stairs if their room is in the 4th floor. Change or wash their curtains. Rooms were bit too small. First floor rooms caught noise from downstairs at night - unfortunately I am a very light sleeper however if I had earplugs I think I would've been fine. No elevators Small rooms. The stairs! Very old furniture Small rooms. Not the cleanest and defenetelly not the most comfortable room I've seen. It's pretty small and you can get a towels with holes and stuff. In our room we had a power plague hangin out of the wall on wires, and the interior wasn't very fresh-looking. Ok there were lots of problems, like shower head broken, doors hard to close/lock, sensor lights in the hallways only last 10 seconds, shelf in the bedroom on a slope so things slide off, bed linen curious, breakfast not what you'd expect (but surprisingly yummy), power outlets dangerously overloaded, toilet seat broken and so on. But none of it takes away from the great location and staff, so suck it up if you can and just enjoy the city!. The staff could be more friendly. The room's window is right on the street and I couldn't sleep till midnight because of loud people voices down there, staff can be a little bit too friendly. Room is small. 1 Bad and expensive food in the restaurant. 2 Stupid and smug waiters. 3 The rooms are very noisy. 4 Small rooms.
