A 5 star resort, the best I stayed in while in Thailand. Truly a paradise, wonderful garden (forest) with some wild life, very well taken care of and designed with small beautiful lake and nice alleys, very beautiful beach and very nice villas scattered in the forest or near the beach. Quiet and splendid. Great relaxation time on terrace and on the beautiful beach. Staff very helpful and not at all exagerrated. We were watched for assistance, but discretely, so we had the feeling that our priva.
all reviews » that place is just paradise, we absolutely loved it. beach is amazing and the entire hotel premises are beautifully set in a garden surrounded by jungle and just right at the beach. furthermore, we booked a very special rate on letsbookhotel.com due to low-season (october 2013) so it was indeed an excellent value for money ratio and we even got an upgrade for one of the villas for the last night. Adult friendly Hotel. Staff are treated like family by the owner, which is very pleasant. Staff & Management are very nice. Nice not to be bothered by numerous sellers on the beach. Very quite. Very accommodating for a late check out. Taxi's into town (although it's only about a Km to town walking) were easily available from the hotel entrance. But the rest was too "perfect" so worth it nevertheless. Basic Breakfast compared to other Hotels of similar star rating. Attentive cooking staff but lack of cooking skills. Require more Beach front sun loungers. unless you get down at Dawn, you will not get a lounger on the beach. The Delux rooms are in need of a bit of a paint & repair. The one lunch we had at the restuarant tasted bland in comparison with other places although it was beautifully presented in a great location. This is a pity as the cheaper independent restuarant right next door had tasty food and was always busy, attracting guests from surrounding lodgings. Can't think of a single thing. Nothing - we will return. Breakfast ingredients could be more qualitative and pillows could be renewed to keep the Khao Lak quality and cleanness. far from shops don't go for party and entertainement. I hope the pool, bar and restaurant will have some maintenance done before the next season.
