strongly recomend!!! extremly polite, friendly and helpfull staff, they arrange for us a lot of things (we can speak only english, local things only in chinese), they know sollutions and are ready to help, we communicate with google translator - they can´t speak engslih very good, but it was not problem, guys were excelent!!!!!!. It's inexpensive, the staff are very friendly, and the rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Also, great free breakfast! There are no frills or luxury here, just a decent night's rest in a convenient part of Hualien (only a few blocks from Night Market).
all reviews » At a very convenient location. Walking distance to train station, if you have light luggage. By taxi would be 5mins only. Walking distance to the heart of Hualien town. Just beside a shopping centre, Far East shopping centre. Staff is friendly too. The hotel, though quite spartan in facilities, came across as a venue that gives good value for money. Generally the staffs were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The location was quite central to shopping, restaurants and for ease of travel in and out of the city. The room was a bit small but comfortable and quite well designed: modern and well appointed. The service there is good :) I went down to ask about the tour infos, the man there was so passionate to tell me what he knows. the hotel to the down is suggested to ride motorcycle to get to :). The staff were friendly and some of them spoke English very well. The room was large and clean with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was a small buffet, but the food was good. everything.. especially the staff who arranged an english speaking taxi driver to take us the next day to Taroko Gorge and the prices for that service were decent. Breakfast good & delicious. Free pre-arranged pick-up. Hypermarket & departmental store just opposite hotel. Free umbrella rental service. Staff was great. Helped us change plans last minute and upgraded us to a quad room. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. -comfortable and clean -free pick-up from the railway station (or 20-25 minutes walk) -bicycle rental (20NTD day), 5 minutes to the bikeway. The hotel is situated away from the main city center and this makes traveling /exploring on foot a nice challenge. The air conditioning worked well, but the room was always humid. The comforters were great but because the room was cool and humid, they were simply too heavy, I was either too hot or too cold. The room was non-smoking, but I could smell cigarette smoke (mostly from the bathroom). not the closest hotel to the train station, but with every other thing being perfect, it was OK. Costs NT$150 for taxi fare from railway station. No possibility of using city bus routes. Must walk everywhere. Hotel was a little far away from things. Website says walking distance to train station, if one wants to walk 30 minutes with bags. Also a 30 minute walk to coast and to the night market. The breakfast not good enough. Far away from train station, we had to take taxi every time to go back to hotel. If there are some less greasy food, such as traditional Chinese pita bread (i.e. shao-bing), it will be a lot nicer. There isn't anything much around the hotel. Corridor and non-smoking room had cigarette smell. Staff provided air cleaner which helped a little . 1. Rooms felt dated for a relatively new hotel 2. Bathroom not cleaned properly.
