Good location, plenty of restaurants and shops in the immediate area, although if you want to explore Interlaken fully, this hotel is up at one end. However we only used it as a base and we had a car, so the amount of stuff around the hotel was adequate for our evening strolls. Staff great. We had a free upgrade to a suite. Breakfast is amazing, fabulous choice. Indoor pool and parking. Great location, very friendly staff, comfortable large well-maintained rooms, and an excellent breakfast. Will definitely stay here again.
all reviews » The restaurant is a lovely setting with fine menu. Hotel was easy to find and is very convenient to the town and the railway station. Staff was very helpful and courteus. The price .listed as 5 stars. This is too high a rating; its a good 4 star hotel. The first room I was allocated was not of the standard one would expect from a five star hotel. Indeed I have stayed in much better rooms (at much better prices) in three star hotels. In addition the fan and phone did not work and I did not recieve my wake-up call on the first morning.The furniture badly needs to be changed. for a 5 star hotel it is really on the cheap. furthermore carpets and curtains are very old. I had to take my bags by myself !!. Front desk staff whilst pleasant lacked local knowledge and did not seem disposed to find it. As we were sitting in the lounge,our kids were offered some cake by one of the staff, which was nice. Then another staff member came and told us off for taking the cake, as it was meant for a meeting held at the hotel. I thought it was very rude of her, as it was not our fault and we didn´t even ask for the cake.The room standard and furniture quaullity is well below Five Star (5*). I don't recommed for people who looks for luxuary and relax stay. On the other hand the hotel location is excellent city center and staff were excellent and very friendly and willing to serve and provide all the needful. Ww were not advised of the formal dress policy in the restaurant 29 degrees on the day . We ate in an alcove of the bar children's portions of the fine dining menu and were charged full price. The food and the restaurant were merely average.It couldn't be a 5 star hotel, according to the service, enviorment, rooms, it only can be a 3 star hotel. The rooms are so old and small with dirty carpet, don't even have a desk to sit and write. There is no any service at the lobby, we came with some luggages but nobody helps at the lobby, and even no trolly to use. Front desk even ask us to check out as early as possible in the morning 10:00.
