all reviews » We were greeted by the hotel staff Erika at the reception with a warm and pleasant smile. She is most helpful in providing us with transport and sight seeing information in the city. The room is small but clean and bright. There are plenty of WCs and showers and you don't have to worry about lining up. The location is good, you can either walk or take the metro, which is just around the corner, to major tourist attractions. Excellent value for money hotel. Very clean with all basic facilities. Very good and filling breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice. Close to Fridhemsplan Metro station (5 minutes walk - 6-7 minutes metro journey to central station). You can walk to central station in 20 minutes from the hotel. Nice park behind the hotel and plenty of reasonably priced eating places and shops close by. Good gateway to sightseeing Stockholm. Rooms were a good size, air con a plus, lifts helped with luggage. Showers were always clean and accessible. Good dining experiences close by and able to support our budget by complimenting with good selections from salad bars at nearby supermarkets. Would recommend this one to our friends. I keep coming back to STF Fridhemsplan Hotel because of its good location and prices, free and fast wifi, clean and comfortable rooms and convinient guest kitchen. All these features are crucial when I choose a hotel for business trips.The subway station Fridhemsplan is nearby, making it easy to travel everywhere in the city. Everything was tidy and very clean: the room, the corridors, the shared WCs... The room was large and it featured a flat TV, a window (not so usual in Sweden) and free WiFi inside. It was an original and pleasant experience to taste a selection of Nespresso coffees from the machine at the reception. Overall mark: 8/10. It was quiet and comfortable in a room. There're a lot of toilets and showers on the floor which are clean. Towels and blankets included. We didn't offer breakfast so can;t say anything about it. Location is really good, not in the city centre but not far from it, a metro station and a supermaket are nearby. Very clean room & shared facilities. The bed was really comfortable & bed linen good quality cotton - both rare in more budget places. Good location - easy 15 minute walk from train/bus stations. The location is perfect, our room was big and bright, it seems to be renovated not long time ago, it was rather big and very cosy. We did not try the breakafast. The parking is available opposite the hotel and is free from 7pm till 9 am, and cost 18 sek per hour all the other time. very clean and small-comfortable rooms. Good location, near city center, bars and supermarket etc. A very good alternative for staying quasi-budget in Stockholm with self catering... The quality of room fourniture, sheets, blanks, bathroom, etc. The room is lockated in a underground location, dont have windows, but the ilumination, temperature and general things are ver well handled and i did not feel bad any moment. This hotel accommodated for everyone, including a kitchen to cook your own food to a fabulous breakfast in their dining room with freshly squeezed orange juice. Clean rooms and great staff. -Everything was thoroughly clean. -The room had (unexpectedly) a small fridge. -Staff was friendly. -Toilets and showers, despite being shared, are very clean too. -The breakfast is very well organized and delicious. We have to pay 10 sek for storage of luggage after check out, which I think is mean. Hotel communal kitchen was not in use at the time of my stay, owing to refurbishment, but staff would heat up micro-wave meals for you if requested. It was quite far away from the city centre (about 25 minutes walking) but the central train station in just two stops away taking the underground near the hostel. You have to do the maths to see if it is worthy the price. No kitchen available at the moment (reconstruction), but you still can ask to heat the food or for hot water at the reception. Someone knocking at my door 2 hours before checkout time to ask if i was checking out?!. not much. Expensive 120 dols for room with out window in 2 star hostel. The city is in general so expensive, may be this is the reason. -Very few toilets per floor, sometimes they were occupied and you had to either wait or go to another floor. 1) Room doors have automatic closers which cause them to slam with a huge thud. It is possible to close quietly, but involved more work than most guests are willing to invest. That noise was bothersome. 2) Kitchen was closed for remodeling, which is tough in a city where the restaurants are astonishingly expensive. Kitchen could be bigger in terms of space dedicated to the dining tables. One or two more should be better. No cleaning until you check out. Not as a minus, but as a risk: your peace depends on who is living on the same floor with you (students etc). It was not possible to open window in the room. Bathrooms are shared, however they are clean and easily accessible. Not all staff was friendly. Reception area is old comparing to the rest. The street noise was a bit much when I had the windows open. It was also kind of pricey given that the toilets and bath ere down the hall. That has more to do with exchange rates though. It was quite cold in the room. The walls could be more soundproof. Sy next to us was snoring during the hole night. :). check in staff was not so friendly and helpful as hoped. a little bit expensive for a shared-bathroom room. Street outside was noisy as we were next to a bar. Was awakened by a lot of shouting and chanting and police lights in the middle of the night. Breakfast was not included in room price. Room without window was room in the basement (-2 floor). Maybe the room and the bed is a little bit small for two persons. Shared Toilets, but common in Stockholm. The walls are very thin and when you have stupid neighbors, you can not sleep very good. not perfect acoustic isolation in the room. you can´t open windows. The room has the odd ringing noise when things are too quiet and there is no background noise. There are also odd noises in the room(pumping noise etc). Rooms can be a little bigger. There was some blood stain on the duvet, 10 SEK to store luggage before check in. Luggage lockers mostly faulty!. no a/c and we couldn't open the windows. No toiletry was provided - although not a 'real' problem.
