We would definitely go back to the Patacona Resort Apartments! Our party of four was met at the airport by a very friendly rep from the company who took us to check in and then on to the apartments. The apartment grounds were very clean as were both of the apartments we rented. Our apartment was fairly quiet, but outside around the pool area was pretty noisy during the day. Furniture was newer and what is typically found in European hotel rooms. The restaurant up in the front of the complex was.
all reviews » Calm, quiet, close to the sea. Great place for a family vacation, maybe for a loving couple wanting privacy. Friendly staff, comfortable apartments overlooking the sea. Excellent value. The staff were great, It was near the beach. The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable, although basically furnished. The kitchen was small, but quite well equipped and the washing machine was very useful. We had a nice big balcony with a lovely view of the beach/sea, just across the road from the apartments. The communal areas and gardens were extremely well kept, although there are lots of rules and regulations (eg no sun beds on the grass, no using the pool during siesta times). There are a few bars/restaurants within a ten min. The view was awesome, and the weather not to bad, the romms are ok but the beds could be more comfortable. Area was beautiful, great food at restaurant . The apartment was very close to beach. Children playground, private area. Close to the beach. Well maintained complex. Use of a washing machine, appt was spacey!. The beds were super-firm and not very comfortable. We also did not luck out on the view; looked right at the the run down building with graffiti next door. Poor to get to the center of Valencia. You need to have your own transport. Air conditioning and refrigerator are very noisy. Finding the key pickup was a bit hassly, and we had problems getting into the underground carpark, for which we paid 10 euros a night. Had we known, we would have just parked at the front of the apartments for free. The tv in the apartment was old, and no English channels. If you don't have a car, carrying shopping back from the supermarket, a good 15 minute walk away, could be a problem. No one speaks English, and the food is very expensive and bad. Too many strict rules regarding swimming pool and our couch in our room was terribly uncomfortable, unable to sit for a few minutes to watch tv to relax a little . I would expect that possibly in a hotel room but not in an apartment . Outdoor pool was still closed, although there was 27-34 C outside. Equipment of the apartment was very old and poor. Towels were broken and old. Groceries were far away. Only slow bus (45 min) goes to Valencia city center. Taxi drive took 10-15 min. Refrigerator was not running, no hot water maker, no toaster, just 3 cups (4 bedroom apartment), pots dirty and old, no tea or coffee pot. We felt like on a camp ground!. It was dirty! The cutlery, plates, pans...no kettle..1-pillow and 1-towel per person...not a nice area, the pool wasn't open-it was being painted, the reception staff were hopeless...the bed was broken...
