all reviews » I liked the free shuttle service for airport. This is a free service and want others to be sure to note that it is available. To return to the airport, book your return time at the front desk when checking in so you have that all set. It only takes about 15 minutes to get to the airport. Look up terminal needed before going. Pool and gym are great!. This was a huge, fabulous marble bathroom with a pleasant room attached! (Remind guests to book the airport shuttle at busy times.) We were delighted and will defnitely use that hotel whenever we have a stopover in Barcelona. location for an early am departure from the barcelona airport; value; a very helpful staff conversant in several languages. i highly recommend the hotel. The room was expansive and comfortable, contrary to what I thought european hotel rooms were.The restaurant prices were quite reasonable. The best feature for me, was the half-hourly airport shuttle, which saved us a lot of taxi fare.We enjoyed our stay at the Ciutat del Prat for many reasons. It was close to the train to enable to make our way to downtown Barcelona and the staff was extremely helpful even though there was a language barrier. I was most impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The traditional furnishings made it very comfortable. The staff was very helpful.We had only one night but found the hotel most satisfactory, particular mention for the courteous driver who did the aorport transfers. The photo of the swimming pool on the website makes it look huge when in fact it is tiny and the pool is also very shallow.limited choices of restaurants which were near the hotel. We, along with most of the guests we spoke to found the main course of the set menu unpalatable and it had no potatoes or veg with it. Also, no vegetarian options. The starter and desert were fantastic!. I had quite small room where I had difficulties to open my suitcase fully open. the swimmingpool room was cold some heating would be neccesary. It took over an hour and two phone calls for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport. parking was very expensive (15 euros per night). Internet not free. The early check-in should have been earlier yet. As weary travellers, we needed the rest. Came in at 10 AM. Maybe, a spare room for such a situation could be provided.breakfast very expensive. Some of the hotel staff did not speak English. Food was satisfactory. We requested that the hotel minibus collected us from the airport on our booking form, but on our arrival [late evening] it did not turn up so we had to take a taxi. This was not expensive.We asked for a 4 a.m. wake up call, but did not receive it until 4:30. Also we were scheduled for a 5 a.m. shuttle to the airport, but the driver said we were scheduled for 5:30 a.m. There was some confusion at the front desk.
