I loved the staff and their desire to give excellent customer service. We had an issue with our room because the hotel is undergoing renovations. The staff gladly upgraded us to a suite without extra charge. When I found myself needing lodging for an extra day, we were given the suite we had been in for the price of the room we had initially booked. This hostel has new owners! In the 4 days since they had the keys they had fixed majority of the drains so that the previously reported smells were gone! The owner, Monserrat, spoke very good English, and if she couldn't answer a tourist question she called someone promptly to find out. Easy to find, room was clean, bathrooms and common rooms also clean. Our room looked into the centre stair well, so was lovely and dark to sleep, and I didn't notice any noise. Bed wasnt what I expected but it wasnt a big deal, still slept. Unfortunately we stayed there with some other people who don't know how to behave and it was very very noise during the night. Nada. There aren't windows. Owner was very helpful and friendly. Gave lot of information for fun. shower situation in room, it was not in same area as toilet & wash basin. Ease of access to shower, it was up steps. There were 2 wifi networks and a public computer: none of them worked properly, very annoying.
