Everything. Staff were friendly, helpful, professional and went to the trouble of leaving some small gifts for my friend's birthday. Location is perfect for the Gothic Quarter and the hotel design is stunning. The little square that the restaurant looks out on is a photographer's dream. Rooftop terrace is lovely and relaxing, and the hotel itself is calm in a busy area of the city, yet minutes away from everything you could possibly want. A small delightful hotel in the heart of the Gothic area. The staff were very anxious to please and the charm of the old building that is completely renovated was worth the inconvenience of getting there. Tip: once you get there they call you cabs to meet you at the door. The staff were excellent,professional and knowledgeable. I loved the hotel design and the luxury feeling and the bathroom amenities for the guests (shampoo,body cream). I also liked the area and the small little streets. The breakfast was very good delicious and fresh. The hotel was fantastic good location and the food and staff was brilliant too. It was my husbands 60th birthday the meal in the hotel was fantastic with excellent staff , but felt a bit lonely as there was only one other couple there . The hotel was perfect couldn't ask for any more. The food was amazing would recommend the 7 course banquet. Staff were very helpful and being within a minute of Les Rambles you couldn't ask for anything better. This is an outstanding, small luxury hotel. In the midst of the bustling Gothic quarter, it is very calm and quiet. Restauant is excellent as are all amenities and a highly efficient and caring staff. We liked the helpful staff, the unusual location among the old city and the design of old and new in the building. Our room was comfortable with lovely views over the old steets. The location. The only issue for some people might be that some taxi drivers won't be able to drop you at the door - that wasn't an issue for us. The hotel ordered us a taxi from the hotel and it came directly outside so depends on who you use. You need to remember that staying in thecity can be noisy as the streets are labyrinth and narrow, and sound carries; please bear this in mind - it's still a lovely area for a city break. Nothing. Look forward to returning. I would have liked a spa (small jacuzzi or pool) and a bigger menu for dinner. We ate in quite a few times and ordered room service because we were tired at night as we were out all day and we would have liked a wider choice of food. not enough people in the restaurant and there was little atmosphere .Only one free tea and bottle of water per room. There is nothing I didn't like or that I would change!. No criticism. The lack of shelving in the bathroom. Breakfast is significantly overpriced. Atmosphere in breakfast room too stiff- needs background music Pricey. No tea ,coffee making facility for guests, Staff not inclined to step aside for guests when they are working at their duties. Did not renew water bottle though we were there 4 nights. It could do with a spa/pool... Nothing.

By Public Transport

From El Prat Airport:

- By taxi: around 15 minutes by taxi (fare should come to approximately EUR 30). Ask the taxi driver to take you to Plaza Sant Jaume in the Gothic Quarter.
There, if you wish, you can call the hotel and they will come to pick up your luggage and tell you how to get to the hotel.
- By bus (Aerobús): around 30 minutes and stop at Plaza Catalunya, and then a 5-minute walk from there.

By Car
- Take the motorway toward Barcelona-Gran Vía.
- Upon entering Barcelona, continue along Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanes until you reach Calle Pau Claris.
- Take a right and continue straight ahed until Plaza Urquinaona, after which Calle Pau Claris becomes Vía Laietana.
- Continue straight along Vía Laietana until you reach Avenida de la Catedral.
- Take a right to get to the Parking de Catedral parking facility. There, if you wish, you can call the hotel and we will come pick up your bags.
