Excellent, it could not have been better. What was there not to like? The location was central to all the tourist attractions, set only a block back from La Rambla, and easy to find. There is a large supermarket only 5 minutes walk away. The apartment is spacious, nicely decorated, well appointed and extremely comfortable. In fact, this lovely apartment was integral to our enjoyment of our Barcelona holiday. We highly recommend it.all reviews »
Everything was in brand new condition! Love the design of the apartment as well..Fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, stove, microwave etc. although we didn't use any of these. Location was superb, very near to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. Kitchen was very well equipped - ideal when travelling with kids. Excellent location at the heart of the city but still very quiet.Everything was fantastic.The apartment was perfect.Very modern, spacious. right on las rambles. will definatley stay here again. the studio was very spacious,well decorated and there can not be a better location. It had one non-private room area and one private room area. There was also individual air conditioning in the three main room areas. Overall a great place and a great experience. The best thing about this hotel is location. We walked everywhere from the hotel. Also the room was very modern and tidy with very sufficient kitchen facility. We had a very comfortable stay. We read all the previous reviews and agree with just about all of them, but overall the negatives are really minor and certainly things that most people can deal with in their stride, but saying that, it is always nicer to drink wine from a wine glass instead of a tumbler.Opening the apartment door... took us some time to open the door everyday!. A little local information would save so much time when arriving late at night eg location of nearest supermarket.no english channel on the T.V and the dvd player wasn't working to play a cd. not a major problem at all. The person did not show up with the keys for about an hour. Given the other reviews, I expected this and thought it was fine. Also, the room was being cleaned when we arrived which was a bit of a hassle. Otherwise, no complaints.There was a street noise during the night. The hotel was right next to the public rubbish bin and a rubbish collecting tack came in the very early morning on Sat. It was very disturbing. But it's the centre of the city. This is a compromise you need to take. no change of towel from staff , or anywhere to put rubish bags .asked for a double bed and two singles. no wine glasses. no reception. Arrangements on arrival could be improved. Door locks a bit difficult to master. Check-in process is a bit annoying. Make an appointment then meet the person. BUt as our 1st time in barcelona we got lost. The main office said they would call the agent to rearrange time but we found our selves banging the door down for half hour in the rain until cleaner let us in. The agent had not been told we would be late.Office is quite far away if you need to leave your bags and youhave to pay . Available cutlery and glasses/cups/plates only enough for one meal - would recommend to add more items in order to avoid running the dishwasher nearly empty.There was no soap in either of the bathrooms. A hoover and change oftowels every 4-5 days would also be a good idea. The extra blankets need to be replaced immediately - disenigrates with a small touch and release a cloud of wool particles. If there were tea, coffee and shugar it would be really great. No bag storage at the appartments location.noisy!. Both ourselves and other guests suggested there should at least be one satchel of powder for the dishwasher, some detergent and a sponge under the sink as well.Would have expected some soap atleast for the first night. the hotel shower tray was very slippery watch out.The wall are probably very thin, because you hear every noise. There were people chatting in the hall and it was like they were standing next to our bed. Because there is no concierge, people can just do what they want, so also making very bad noise at 7am. we only got one key, it should be two keys i think.The keys into the outside of the hotel and inside were tricky to use. It wasn't clear that I had to phone to gain access on arrival - it was stated but could hvae been more prominent. We had a studio apartment for two and although the layout, kitchen, sitting space and bathroom were great, the beds were awful. Narrow twin cots with thin matresses. I really think the owner should think about upgrading them. We spent 5 nights sleeping on them and woke up tired and unrested each morning. It would make me think twice about recommending the apartment despite all the plus points. There is no Check-in counter and you call the office to meet someone at the apartment which is time consuming and totally not practical. Noise levels within the complex very high and the apartment was not geared up for five persons,ie plates,glasses etc. the checkout was inconvenient as there was no storage of our bag till we left to the airport altough they did offer for us to bring it to their office. no toiletries provided. You could see that it was shortly before "finished" and not totally clean. Furthermore the wireless internet wasn't good and available all the time! Last but not least, we asked if there was a closable bedroom and there was....but not when we arrived. No privacy.The beds reminded me off my old campus style mini-singles. New but uncomfortable. No reception, although we were meet upon arrival as arranged. Insufficient explanation how to use electric appliances. Cleaning room and changing beds, towels must be better. It was stated that the sheets and towels would be changed on the 5th day. I stayed 7 days and no change was made. Not satisfactory. difficult to find (Bach appartments sign on door would help) ... when found, no-one to meet us (a serious problem experienced by others in the block) although when the rep. finally turned up he was polite and helpful ... no local info in case of emergency etc. ... no tourist info. ... facilities in flat could be better eg no teatowel ... unacceptable left luggage facilities (office miles away).arrived to be told we were moved apartments on the other side of barcelona. Didn't like having to wait for someone to let us into the apartment, we were told we could get in after 2 p.m. on the booking form but that was not the case. It would have helped if we had been informed that we had to phone in order to access the apartment on the booking confirmation. Also the beds were very small and uncomfortable and the noise from the other apartments was very loud.When we arrived, they tried to give us a one bedroom appartment instead of the two bedroom appartment which I booked for 165Euro/night. They said this is what I booked and they did not have anything else empty. But when I refused to pay 165/day but rather 110Euro, they canged their mind and suddenly found an appartment similar to the one I booked-two bedroom appartment.
